NORTH was one of the hidden songs that made it to pop'n music 16 PARTY♪. In order to obtain this song you had to clear クラゲータ with the Top and Bottom, Upside-Down Ojama. The song will then be unlocked for your next stage.
As of April 23, 2008, it was available to be played by everybody.

I wanted to ask L.E.D. (who's currently accepting reservations for Denjin K), to comment on this song since he was associated with it, but anyways, L.E.D.-GGGGG is very busy with Denjin K currently in production, so I'll comment for now.
By the way, NORTH is a song by WALL5 and not L.E.D., so it's not included in "Denjin K". Please be careful. But please buy it.
I didn't work much in pop'n 16 PARTY, but I remember interrupting a meeting to decide the unlock conditions and said "North is opposite the South Pole" and left without saying anything else, this left a good impression that I will pass down.
Well about NORTH, it first appeared in GOTTA2, which I played a lot later, but wac first played this song in beatmania IIDX 4th style, which he was involved in, and I remember being shocked while saying "wow, there's trance like this!". From the nostalgia, I went to look at the official website back then, and I was also there, so I somehow felt very embarrassed. That's why this song is wac's flesh and blood, who was practicing hard at IIDX back then.
These notecharts are based on the Double Play notecharts of that time. The button sounds are mainly drums, which reminded me of the limited space way back then, and makes me feel like a nostalgic old man.

But playing with the Upside-Down Ojama is difficult.
When I lowered the HI-SPEED to 0.5~1.0, it became quite easy to play.

Even though this is trance, it's somewhat nostalgic... that's CELTRANCE!
When I thought about the unlock conditions, it's NORTH, so this song is related to directions! So, starting with NAN-KYOKU, I thought that playing PERCUSSIVE, WESTERN, TOKYO ROMAN, HYPER J-POP 2, and finally MFC was excessive, so I decided to use "NAN-KYOKU with the Top and Bottom, Upside-Down Ojama".
Playing it with the Top and Bottom, Upside-Down Ojama is harder than it seems, so I did my best to lower the HI-SPEED and difficulty.
When I actually saw it being played, its conditions were very lovely, with SOUTH and the pop-kun going northward.
By the way, those who read "北上" as "kitakami", often travel on the Tohoku Shinkansen or are from Iwate prefecture.

I had a score battle with TAMA on the NORMAL notechart.
It was difficult to find the timing in the middle section to somehow get COOL to appear!

TOMOSUKE
This is actually my favorite song from GOTTA MIX 2.
It's personally tied as a masterpiece with "Lovergirl In Summer" from GOTTA MIX.
I remember the final explosion sound being too loud when I adjusted the volume, that I surprised the entire team when they nearly finished development.
But, a boom like this! Isn't it better to sound like this? Is it not good? Is that so?
