When Pikachu enters the zone, he must first pass Tangrowth's attraction to be allowed inside the zone's haunted house. After clearing Tangrowth's attraction and getting a Prism Piece, Pikachu enters the mansion. There, he meets a Duskull who offers him a tour of the mansion and by the time the tour ends, Dusknoir's attraction opens. After clearing Dusknoir's attraction, Pikachu is awarded another Prism Piece and is allowed into the ballroom. In the ballroom, Pikachu learns from a Misdreavus that Mismagius has locked herself in the mansion's library every since Rotom disappeared the ballroom's piano broke. Pikachu retrieves some thread from a Spinarak to fix the piano and the piano's music draws Mismagius out of the library. Mismagius agrees to help search for the Sky Pavilion while Pikachu searches from Rotom. Pikachu finds a book is missing from the library and retrieves it from a Sableye. Once the book is put in place, it opens a secret passage that leads to a room where Rotom is. Rotom reveals he was preparing a new attraction and got locked inside by accident.
