Big Pearl

Big Pearl is an item introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Big Pearls are like normal Pearls except they are bigger and rarer. They can sometimes be found on beaches. Big Pearls can also be found as a held item by the wild Pokémon: Clamperl, Gulpin, Shellder, and Cloyster. Occasionally, they are found on beaches, but they are much harder to find this way.

In a few of the games, a Big Pearl can be sold to a certain non-playable character. In Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version and Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, the player can sell a Big Pearl to a character in the Pokémon Center of Icirrus City for 7,500. In Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, a Big Pearl is one of the items that the player can sell to an item buyer at the Stow-on-Side, where it can be sold to him for 12,000.
