Zero is a character in Phoenotopia: Awakening, the first Phoenix uncovered at the deepest part of E.D.E.N during the Main Story. He contributes briefly during the second encounter with Katash shall Gail fail to repel him.
Main Story
With the last security measure of E.D.E.N disabled, Bart and his Stellanites comrades teleport to where Gail is and start uncovering as many Phoenix weapons as possible in preparation for the upcoming alien invasion. Zero is the first Phoenix to be found.
In the midst of waking Zero up however, Katash manages to invade SPHERE and deep into E.D.E.N to where the party is. Shall Gail unable to defeat Katash there, Zero would sense the danger and wake up. Before receiving any order, Zero moves on his own and sends Katash flying with a single punch.
It is unknown how Zero and the remaining Phoenix weapons in E.D.E.N are handled after the Main Story.
Trivia
- The Main Story continues regardless if Gail can repel Katash on her own, which affects only the dialogues afterwards regarding Zero and whether the badge "Dark Wing" is obtained there
- Due to him being ready for combat right after waking up along with his immediate control over his strength and flight capability, Zero might be designed with the purpose as a weapon in mind
- The name of Zero within the game files is "Kain"
- In the ending artwork unlocked from completing the game without obtaining any Heart Ruby or Energy Gem, i.e. under Zero Trial condition, the artwork "Duel" can be viewed. While it features a pink-haired female and blue-haired male each arming a lightsaber, it is unknown whether the characters depicted are actually Gail and Zero, since the art style and clothing are drastically distinct from in the game
- In their respective game, despite both being the first Phoenix exiting hibernation, Zero and Unit 0066 have completely different character designs and obviously serve different purposes due to the rework of the Main Story
