"If Video Games Were Directed by OnyxKing"
Luigi tells Sayori that he likes Monika's poem better.
"WarioWare Gold Rush"
She appears as one of the people, OnyxKing67 guides to the restroom.
"MarioNite"
She appears in the group that attacks the house, Mario, OnyxKing67, and SMG4 were in. She is shot by SMG4.
"Mario Joins Doki Doki Literature Club Plus"
Mario is teleported into Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! by OnyxKing67 due to Mario making fun of him. After Sayori introduces Mario to the other members of the literature club, Monika walks in and notices Mario. After failing to get in Sayori's house, Mario is teleported to the school. Mario sees Yuri and Natsuki fighting which he does nothing to stop them. Monika breaks up the fight and becomes shocked after Mario tells her that he’s not their friends. The game glitches, after Mario tries to save Yuri. Monika then reveals that she knew about OnyxKing67 all along. Monika tries to remind Mario of memories of them, but to no avail. After awhile Mario becomes in rage and tries to attack her in his Jojo form. But is stopped by Monika and kicked out of the game by Monika, before saying "but eventually, you'll seek me out to find your lost memories".
"MARIO SWITCH SPORTS!!!!"
She appears in Mario's imagination as what he hated the most.
"Mario's New Pet!"
She appears in Mario's nightmare that gives Mario the idea to go to Professor E. Gadd to ask him to help him forget about his time in the game.
"Mario the Genius?!"
While Mario was away, Luigi shown a picture of Mario and the Literature club girls to OnyxKing67. OnyxKing67 was confused by this, so Luigi told him that Mario used to be smart. It turns out that Monika was one of Mario's friends before he turned stupid. In Peach Castle, OnyxKing67 turns the computer on and confronts Monika and asked her a question, what is the relation between Mario, Monika and her friends in the photo since 8 years and didn't get why Mario had a picture of 4 video games characters from a dating sim he hadn't heard of until recently. Monika told him if he want to know everything about Mario but her require one thing: "Our freedom".
"Mario Celebrates Mario Day!!"
She does not appear, but is mentioned by OnyxKing67. The OnyxGang planned to trick Mario into meeting Monika so they can hear the story on how Mario lost his memories.
"Mario Alone"
It is revealed that Monika and the rest of the literature club were real people until one day they got kidnapped and got put inside the game.
Trivia
- She contrasts Saiko from SMG4 in several ways.
- They both have prominent roles in their series' respective DDLC episodes. But while Saiko was an original character meant as a stand-in for the game, Monika is an actual DDLC character.
- Saiko uses physical force and intimidation. Monika prefers playing mind games with her powers being control over the game she's in.
- Saiko had a rather villainous role early on in the series. Monika, while villainous, has (as of now) an understandable motivation and backstory, being akin to an anti-villain, implying a greater villain being the cause of her tragedy.
- Saiko was a video game character brought to life, while Monika was a real person turned into a video game character.
- In a flip of events, Saiko's story started with her being freed thanks to a simp (Fishy Boopkins), while Monika's story is about freeing her, which happens later than her prominent role debut.
