Piper is a giant owl owned by Gerd.[1]
Appearance
Piper is a massive owl, about the size of its master's upper body. Its feathers alternate between dark and light, with swirling ones around its eyes.[1]
Personality
As Gerd's pet, Piper is very loyal to her. It also appears to have a high degree of intelligence, having witnessed something and then reported back to its master, even responding when asked about it.[1]
Abilities and Powers
Due to its large size and intellect, Piper is capable of reconnaissance, and can inform its master of anything it witnesses.[1]
History
Elbaph Arc
Piper witnessed Muginn bringing the Thousand Sunny back to Road's house. It promptly reported to its master, Gerd, resulting in Goldberg joining them as they went to intercept the Straw Hat Pirates.[1] Not long after, Piper, Gerd, and Goldberg chased Road alongside up the bridge to the rest of Elbaph. At the same time, Goldberg carried the Thousand Sunny with them.[2]
Trivia
- Following the professional wrestling theme of some Elbaph characters, Piper could have been named after one of two wrestlers: Roddy Piper or Piper Niven.
