Phosphorus is a resource.
Summary
Phosphorus (P) is a resource and one of the localised earth elements.
Game description
Local mineral extract, typically found in large deposits or extracted from common minerals after inspection with an Analysis Visor.
Typically found on planets with a scorched environment.
Source
- As a secondary element in some minerals or in Resource Deposits or Hotspots on planets with Scorched biomes.
- Found in Hotspots on Mega Exotic planets located in red stellar systems.
- Also available from some Galactic Trade Terminals.
Phosphorus can be refined using a Refiner with the following ingredients:
Solanium ×2 +
Salt ×1 →
Phosphorus ×1 ("Floral Titration", 0.36 sec./unit output)
Dioxite ×2 + Ferrite Dust ×1 →
Phosphorus ×1 ("Environmental Element Transfer", 0.36 sec./unit output)
Dioxite ×2 + Pure Ferrite ×1 →
Phosphorus ×1 ("Environmental Element Transfer", 0.36 sec./unit output)
Methane ×1 +
Di-hydrogen ×1 →
Phosphorus ×1 ("Organic Fusion", 0.16 sec./unit output)

Cooking
Phosphorus is not used as an ingredient for cooking using a Nutrient Processor.
Trivia
- In real life, Phosphorus is almost never found freely in nature; except for minerals such as apatite. Phosphorus is found organically in sources of bone ash and guano and is also produced in supernovae as a byproduct of supernova nucleosynthesis, where the phosphorus-to-iron ratio from the supernova remnant is believed to be 100 times higher than Milky Way supernovae byproducts in general.
