Trivia
- Skylor uses a fusion of Shadow and Light in "Radio Free Ninjago" to help the Resistance avoid Garmadon.
- While it would appear Shade and Obscuria's gray skin color is dictated by their element, this is not always the case for users of the element, seeing as the Elemental Master of Shadow has normal colored skin.
- Considering that Shade was using his elemental power around 7 years before Dragons Rising Season 2[3] and his daughter Obscuria is definitely older than that, Hunted was the first time when the Elemental Master was using his power while already having a descendant.
- Both the Elemental Master of Shadow from the Serpentine War and Shade have animal emblems on their clothing (wolf and bird), both of which come from the torso designs of Minifigures characters (Roman Commander and Egyptian Queen).
- Shadow is one of seven elements that allows the user to alter their body. The other six being Smoke, Size, Light, Metal, Form and Swarm.
- When asked which element Razar from Legends of Chima would have if he was an Elemental Master, Tommy Andreasen said, "I think Shadow would suit him fine."[4]
- Form and Shadow are the only known elements present in the most recent Tournament of the Sources to never be used on screen.
