Decay

Decay is an element in the Wyldness. It is associated with the colors light red, orange, or rust.

User's abilities

• Taphokinesis - The user can manipulate the process of decay.
  • Decay Inducement - The user can cause other individuals to decay or rot, giving them a pale corpse-like appearance and degrading their health to the point where they could die.^[1]
    • Decay Touch - The user can decay anything they touch. Kur used this in "The Missing" on two individuals after lifting them off the ground.

Weaknesses

• Heat - Heat can be used to heal anyone who has been afflicted by Decay.

• Decay was first revealed in The Epic Dragon Rescue!.
• Kur's decayed appearance is a result of the power's effects.^[2]
  • This makes Decay the second elemental power revealed to passively affect the user's appearance following Light, which makes the user's body invisible.
• This is the only element of the Forbidden Five to have their name mentioned in the series.
• Decay is one of the seventeen elements that are not currently known to be confined to a human host. The other sixteen are Ice, Time, Fusion, Balance, Propulsion, Figment, Plants, Quake, Reflex, Size, Sound, Surface Tension, Brute Force, Misfortune, Fear, and Swarm.
  • Decay is also one of 9 Elemental Powers to have more than two colors associated with them, the other 8 being Heat, Earth, Fire, Lightning, Time, Mind, Gravity, and Fusion.
