Mind

“The Master of Mind does not have an elevated IQ, merely the ability to read other's thoughts.”

Mind is an element in Ninjago that is derived from one of the Source Dragons.[1] It is generally associated with the colors gray, white, and navy blue. It corresponds with the Elemental Mind Dragon.

Users' abilities

  • Telepathy/Mind Reading - It allows the user to read other people's minds. They can even likely do this through physical contact. Also, the user can use this for other effects and through other sources, such as sensory scrying to see small objects and in all directions, empathy, remote viewing, observing, warping, entering, or linking/melding with other people's minds or dreams normally or through touch, sensing their presence, weaknesses, or magic, detecting, reading, inducing, manipulating, and copying emotions or behaviors (fear, violence, etc.) and their energy telepathically to create emotion fields, controlling or inducing sleep/sleep dust or nightmares, and negating or becoming immune to other telepathic/brainwashing powers, magic, paralysis, possession, etc.
    • Telepathic Prediction - As an extension of this power, the user can predict an opponent's next move by reading their thoughts.
    • Psionic Blasts - The user of Mind can also project an offensive psychic blast to give the enemy a sudden headache.
    • Telepathic Communication - The power of Mind grants the user the ability to send a telepathic message to others.
    • Enhanced Observation - As seen with Neuro, the user can possibly use the power of Mind to be incredibly keen to details.
    • Mental Projection - When using their telepathy, the user can create projections with their mind.
    • Extrasensory Perception - The user can acquire information from people's mind, such as when Neuro discovered Clouse's plan for Chen involving a spell from his spellbook.
      • Psychometry - The user can possibly perceive information on a person or object.
      • Dowsing - The user can possibly track down objects or information mentally, such as when Neuro stated the transformation spell is located on page 149 in Clouse's spellbook.
    • Mnemokinesis/Cogitokinesis - The user can manipulate, transfer, absorb, empower themselves with, and implant memories and thoughts in a victim's mind. As demonstrated by Neuro in "Radio Free Ninjago," he can use this ability to trick and distract his enemies.
      • Memory Reading - The user can read people's memories, as seen when Neuro looked into Lloyd's memory of watching Karlof lose his power to Chen.
        • Memory Projection - When reading people's memories, the user can make them appear as projections.
    • Hypnosis/Mind Control - It's possible that the Elemental Master of Mind can briefly hypnotize/mind control a victim to trick or distract them.
    • Psionic Flyrogenesis - It's possible for some users of Mind to create psionic force fields.
  • Dragon Creation - The user can create a Mind Dragon.

Symbol

Mind has no distinct Elemental symbol, as its current Elemental Master wears no individual shapes or artwork on his clothes and no symbol for this Element appeared during the Tournament of the Sources unlike some of the other Elements.

History

Versus

Mind was used by Neuro during his fight against Bolobo to foresee his opponent's move, thus being able to avoid it when he struck before hitting him with a psionic blast.

Later, when the Ninja convinced him to help them find out about Chen's plan, Neuro attempted to get close to Chen to read his mind, but was stopped by Clouse. Taking advantage of the situation, Neuro instead read Clouse's mind and learned of the spell on page 149 of the magic user's spell book.

Spy for a Spy

Neuro used his powers and revealed that someone in Kai's room is a spy. Later, Skylor reveals she had copied the Element from Neuro and used it in an attempt to make everyone turn on him.

The Day of the Dragon

Skylor sends Neuro a telepathic message who then informs Griffin Turner, the Master of Speed, to tell the Ninja.

Radio Free Ninjago

Neuro mind tricks Killow and his men into going to Laughy's for karaoke in order for Lloyd, Skylor, Shade, Mr. Pale, and himself to get past them.

Ninjago: Decoded

As stated by Zane, Mind does not give its user a heightened intelligence.
