Black Flames (Korean: 흑염, Hanja: 黑炎, RR: heugyeom), also called Blackfire, is Han Yoohyun's signature flame manipulation skill. In the pre-regression timeline, this develops into the advanced skill Black Blood Flames (흑혈염, 黑血炎, heukhyeolyeom), also called Bloodburn Blackfire, which allows flames to be created from the user's own blood.
Origin
Han Yoohyun earned this as an initial optimized skill.[1][2] The development into Black Blood Flames comes with time and use.[3]
Effects
This skill allows the user to summon and manipulate black flames.[2] With higher mastery of the skill, the user can also create solid forms such as spears and other weapons out of their own blood and flames.[3][4]
Upon growth of this skill, the user can also manipulate and ignite their own blood. This version of the skill is particularly powerful and injuries created by it cannot be healed even by B-rank healing skills.[3]
In the case of Han Yoohyun, when he relaxes his suppression of his nature of flame, Black Flames gains an azure tinge.[5]

- Though the Black Flames, and the Black Blood Flames in particular, are meant to be solid black in color, the webtoon depicts them in a mix of purple and black for ease of visual understanding.[2]
