Episode 1

Rupture (Korean: 균열, RR: gyunyeol) is the first episode of The S-Ranks That I Raised webtoon.

It depicts the initial appearance of dungeons throughout the world, as well as the experiences of Han Yoojin and Han Yoohyun during the initial dungeon shock.

Summary

Gates have suddenly appeared throughout the world. People in various locations watch them warily before settling into an uneasy coexistence. News broadcasts note the growing numbers of concerned citizens and the ongoing studies on these gates by academics who are considering a link to the recent appearances of monstrous creatures.

Business continues as usual, however, for one moving service, where the couple that heads the service chat casually with their employee Han Yoojin. The conversation moves from his skills to his family, and he eagerly tells them about his talented little brother Han Yoohyun, explaining that they're orphans and he's earning to support them both. As Yoojin happily discusses his plans for their evening, Han Yoohyun rides the bus home from his high school, watching a saturated dungeon gate in the distance.

Han Yoojin and his bosses are driving to their destination, talking about how the potential danger of the gates has made people move away at higher rates, when Yoojin notices a similarly saturated dungeon gate on their path. He's about to point it out when their van is jolted by what he discovers to be a monster, which proceeds to attack the van. Yoojin manages to narrowly escape as the narration explains that a dungeon break has occurred, with similar situations throughout the country leaving millions injured and thousands dead. Yoojin finds an improvised weapon and rushes back to the van to save his bosses, only to find that one of them has Awakened- just as his little brother Yoohyun has Awakened and fought off monsters with his flame manipulation ability, soon to become one of the world's first S-rank Hunters.[1]
