Sakurai Miu (櫻井美羽) is a member of the Japanese girl-group, ME:I. She participated on PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS.
History
Early life
2020: Nizi Project
In January 2020, Miu appeared as a contestant on the Japanese reality survival show, Nizi Project. She was eventually eliminated in Part 1 of the show, in Episodes 9-10.
2021: Girls Planet 999
On July 7, Miu was confirmed as an upcoming contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees through the prologue trailer. Her official profile was released on July 19. She was unfortunately eliminated in the eighth episode, which was aired on September 24.
2023-present: PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS
On September 3, she was announced as a trainee on PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS, which officially started broadcasting on October 5. In the first episode, she was peer ranked 51st, and given an original grade of A during the first evaluation and was re-evaluated to grade A.
During the broadcast of the final episode, Miu was announced as a member of the debut group, ME:I, finishing in 4th place overall.
