Ishii Ran (石井蘭) is a member of the Japanese girl-group, ME:I. She participated on PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS.

History
Early life
Ran was born in Saitama Prefecture to a family of five and has one older sister and younger sister.[2]
2016-2023: Pre-debut, Secret x Heroine Phantomirage & Girls2 debut
Ran was an EXPG Omiya student from 2016, having also performed as a back-up dancer prior to her debut. In 2019, Ishii was revealed to be the 4th main cast for the Girls x Heroine series, "Secret x Heroine Phantomirage!", where she played the role of Kureha Seira. Simultaneously debuting with their temporary idol group mirage2, where activities lasted a year. In July 7, the same year, Ran was revealed to be the newest member of Girls2, officially debuting with them on October 30, with their 2nd release that was used as Phantomirage's 2nd opening.
Announced through Oha Suta on March 27, 2020, she joined the Oha Suta cast as an Oha Girl. Starting on the week of April 6, 2020, she became the Thursday Oha Girl until her graduation from OhaSuta on October 1st, 2021.
On February 9, 2021, it was announced that Ran would participate in EXPG "GRAND SHOWDOWN" (a competition where those who win will become the representative of their school) as part of EXPG High School.
2023-present: Girls2 Graduation, Produce 101 Japan The Girls, ME:I Debut
On February 7, 2023, it was announced that Ran is to graduate from Girls2 at the end of March and will not be participating in Girls2 Fan Meeting in April at all. She graduated on March 31, 2023 following her graduation from EXPG High School the day before.
On September 3, she was announced as a trainee on PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS, which officially started broadcasting on October 5. In the first episode, she was peer ranked 62nd, and given an original grade of B during the first evaluation and was re-evaluated to grade A.
During the broadcast of the final episode, Ran was announced as a member of the debut group, ME:I, finishing in 9th place overall.
