Armored Ants are enemies which appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They are related to the Shoguns. Armored Ants are encountered in Barrel Volcano and The Trial Course.

Physical description

They are ants that wear a suit of armor and wield an axe.

Battle

In battle, Armored Ants mainly attack physically with their axes but are capable of using magical moves such as Vigor Up or Endobubble.

Strategy

They are weak against Ice moves so Mallow should use his Snowy move against them. Since they are wearing a suit of armor, Armored Ants are resistant to Fire attacks, meaning Mario has to not use any Fire-based moves but rather stick to physical attacks.
