Hyein (혜인) is a South Korean singer. She is the maknae of the girl group NJZ (formerly NewJeans). She is also a former member of the kids co-ed group Play With Me Club and the kids girl group U.SSO Girl.
Career
2017–2018: U.SSO Girl
In July, 2017, she was announced as a member of Kids Planet's first kids' group U.SSO Girl. They debuted on November 7, 2017, with their first digital single Go Go Sing. She left the group sometime in 2018.
2019-2021: Play With Me Club
On January 11, 2019, she was revealed as a member of the kids co-ed group Play With Me Club.[1] They made their debut on December 16, 2020, with the first digital single "Let’s Play".
On May 3, 2021, she, along her fellow member Chang-Hyun, graduated from the group.[2]
2022: Debut with NewJeans
On July 22, 2022, she debuted with NJZ (then known as NewJeans) with the lead single "Attention", prior to the release of their debut EP New Jeans on August 1.
Personal life
Health
On April 10, 2024, ADOR announced that Hyein would be taking a break from activities due to a microfracture in her foot.[3]
On June 20, ADOR released a new statement which revealed that Hyein would partially resume activities starting with NewJeans' Japanese fanmeeting, Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome.[4]
