Han Seung Woo

Han Seung Woo (한승우; or simply Seungwoo) is a South Korean singer-songwriter under AURA Entertainment. He is the leader of the boy group VICTON and a former member of the project boy group X1.

He made his solo debut on August 10, 2020 with the mini album Fame.

Career

2016: Debut with VICTON

On November 9, 2016, Han Seung Woo debuted as a member of VICTON with the mini album Voice To New World.

2019–2020: Produce X 101, X1

In 2019, he, along with his fellow member Choi Byung Chan, participated in Mnet's boy group survival show Produce X 101 representing Play M Entertainment. He finished in third place, thus becaming a member of X1.[1] The group officially debuted on August 27, 2019 with the mini album, 비상 : Quantum Leap.

However, on January 6, 2020, the agencies representing the members announced the group has disbanded due to not being able to reach a unanimous agreement following the Produce 101 vote manipulation controversy.[2] On the 29th, it was announced that he would return to activities with VICTON.[3]

2020: Solo debut with Fame

On June 26, 2020, Play M Entertainment confirmed that Seungwoo will be making his solo debut.[4] His first solo mini album, Fame, was released on August 10.[5]

2023: Frame

On June 5, 2023, Han Seung Woo hinted at his upcoming comeback by dropping an official logo motion.[6] A few days later, it was announced that he will release his third mini album, Frame, on June 27.

2024: "Scene", departure from IST Entertainment, new agency

On May 9, 2024, it was reported that Han Seung Woo will be making a comeback on June 5.[7] On May 17, he announced his first single album "Scene".[8]

On November 27, IST Entertainment announced that Han Seung Woo had left the company following the expiration of his exclusive contract.[9]

On December 13, AURA Entertainment announced that Han Seung Woo had signed on with them to resume his activities.[10]

2025: "Positive Vibes"

On April 7, 2025, Han Seung Woo announced his first digital single "Positive Vibes", set for release on April 20.[11]

Personal life

Military service

On June 4, 2021, Play M Entertainment announced that Han Seung Woo would be enlisting in the military band on July 26.[12] On July 21, Play M Entertainment announced that his departure would be postponed to July 28 due to issues such as quarantine at the military training center related to COVID-19.[13] He was discharged on January 27, 2023.[14]
