Daehyun (대현) is a South Korean actor and trainee under RBW. He is the current maknae of the upcoming boy group NXD.
He is best known for being a contestant on the survival shows The Origin - A, B, or What? and Fantasy Boys.
Career
2022: The Origin - A, B, or What?
On February 8, 2022, IST Entertainment announced that they would be debuting their first group since the merger. The members of the group will then be selected through the survival show, that was then untitled.[2]On February 11, the profile photos of the thirteen contestants, including Daehyun, were revealed.[3] The premiere of The Origin - A, B, or What? was then set to air on February 26. However, the show's premiere was then postponed to March 19 as some of the contestants had tested positive for COVID-19.[4] Daehyun was eliminated in episode 2 after being in the losing team and voted off by the judges.
2022–2023: Fantasy Boys, new agencies, NXD
On September 8, 2022, Urban Works Entertainment introduced Daehyun as a member of their company through the release of his profile photos.[5]
On February 20, 2023, Daehyun, romanized as Daehyeon instead, was officially introduced as a contestant of Fantasy Boys.[6] Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the eleventh and final episode, which aired on June 8, 2023.[7]
On July 19, 2023, it was revealed, through RBW's publicy discolsed information, that Daehyun is part of their upcoming boy group RBW Boys (later known as NXD).[8]
