Han Sun Hwa (한선화; or simply Sunhwa) is a South Korean singer and actress currently under KeyEast.[1] She is a former member of the girl group Secret.
Early life
Han Sun Hwa was born on October 6, 1990 in Busan, South Korea. Her mother was only 20 years old at the time of her birth.[2] She is the eldest child in her family; she has a younger sister (Han Ji Young) and a younger brother (Han Seung Woo). Since both of her parents worked, it was Sunhwa's job to take care of her younger siblings.[2]
Career
2009: Debut with Secret
On October 13, 2009, she debuted as a member of Secret with the group's first digital single "I Want You Back".
2016: Departure, focus on acting
On September 26, 2016, TS Entertainment announced Sunhwa would be leaving the agency and group after deciding not to renew her contract.[3]
On October 14, she signed on with Huayi Brothers in hopes to focus on her acting career.[4]
2020: New agency
On March 12, 2020, KeyEast announced that Sunhwa had signed on with the agency.[1]
