EVERGLOW (에버글로우) is a six-member girl group under Yue Hua Entertainment. They debuted on March 18, 2019 with the single album "Arrival of EVERGLOW".
History
2019: Debut, "Hush"
On February 17, 2019, Yue Hua revealed that they would debut a new girl group named EVERGLOW. On the same day, they opened the staff and group's Twitter, Instagram, and Fancafe accounts. On the group's social media accounts, a teaser was posted revealing the official logo of the group.[1] On February 18, an article was published on Naver, revealing that former Produce 48 contestants Kim Sihyeon and Wang Yiren were included in the group's lineup. Later that same day, a teaser video was posted on Stone Music Entertainment's channel on YouTube, confirming Sihyeon as the first member.[2][3] The following day, Mia was revealed as the second member,[4] followed by Onda on the 20th,[5] Yiren on the 21st,[6] E:U on the 24th,[7] and Aisha on the 25th.[8]
On March 3, 2019, the concept photos of the group and the members was revealed.[9][10][11] On March 6, the group revealed their schedule list for the debut album.[12]
EVERGLOW debuted on March 18 with the single album "Arrival of EVERGLOW" and its title track "Bon Bon Chocolat". They held their debut stage on the 21st on M Countdown.[13]
On August 19, the group released their second single album "Hush" and its title track "Adios". At their comeback showcase on the same day, they revealed their fandom name to be "Forever" after the group's desire to be with their fans forever.[14]
2020: Reminiscence, first world tour, -77.82X-78.29
On January 19, EVERGLOW announced they will be coming back with their first mini album Reminiscence, which was released on February 3.[15]
It was revealed on January 24 that the group would hold their first world tour titled EVERGLOW: Everlasting Tour. The tour began on March 6 with the U.S. leg, making stops in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Jersey City, before their last stop, Los Angeles, was ultimately canceled on March 12, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[16]
On the midnight of September 7, EVERGLOW announced they would be making a comeback on September 21 with their second mini album -77.82X-78.29.[17]
2021: "Last Melody", leadership change, Return of The Girl
On May 3, 2021, it was reported by Star News that EVERGLOW would be making a comeback.[18] On May 6, a logo teaser video posted by the group revealed their third single album, titled "Last Melody", would be released on May 25.[19] On the same day, the single album, as well as its title track "First", was released.
On May 25, during the group's showcase for their single album "Last Melody", it was announced the group's leadership position, originally held by E:U, had been passed on to Sihyeon.[20]
On August 25, the group released their first digital single, "EVERGLOW For UNICEF Promise Campaign" for the UNICEF’s promise campaign.[21]
On October 4, it was once again reported by Star News that the group would be making a comeback during the second half of the year.[22] On November 14, a teaser was released for their third mini album Return of The Girl, set to be released on December 1.[23]
2022: Yiren's hiatus, Aisha's hiatus, "Ghost Light"
On January 9, it was announced from Yiren that she would be taking a break from EVERGLOW temporarily as she will spend time with her family in China between mid-January to the end of February for academic schedules and will be taking a break from activities for the time being. The group will promote as five until she returns.[24]
On August 11, 2022, it was announced that Aisha would be taking a break from all activities due to health issues and is undergoing a thorough examination at the hospital.[25]
On November 7, it was revealed that the group would be making their first comeback without Yiren, with their second digital single "Ghost Light" as a collaboration with the German producer, TheFatRat. It was released on November 18.[26]
On November 15, it was announced that EVERGLOW would be going on tour in Southeast Asia. The dates and cities were revealed along with the name of the tour being EVERGLOW Southeast Asia Tour.[27] On December 8, Magic Sound K-Pop released a statement stating that EVERGLOW's upcoming tour, EVERGLOW Southeast Asia Tour, was canceled and that all tickets would be refunded.[28]
2023: "All My Girls", second U.S tour
On July 26, the EVERGLOW Staff twitter account released a coming soon teaser for the group's upcoming comeback, which is set for release on August 18.[29] On the following day, it was announced that they will be releasing their fourth single album, "All My Girls".[30] On August 24, EVERGLOW announced dates for their second U.S tour 2023 EVERGLOW US Tour [All My Girls].[31][32]
2024: First fanmeeting in Hong Kong, "Zombie", third U.S tour
On December 11, 2023, it was announced that EVERGLOW will held their first fan meeting "Forever" on January 13 in Hong Kong.[33]
On May 20, EVERGLOW shared a 'coming soon' poster for their fifth single album "Zombie", which is set to be released on June 10.[34]
On June 24, MyMusicTaste announced dates for EVERGLOW's third U.S tour 2024 EVERGLOW US Tour <Pulse & Heart>.[35]
