Drama is the fourth mini album by aespa. It was released on November 10, 2023 with "Drama" serving as the album's title track.

The physical album comes in 17 versions: Sequence (four individual member covers), Scene (four individual member covers), Giant (four individual member covers), Drama, and four SMini versions.

Background

On October 11, 2023, it was announced that aespa will be releasing their fourth mini album, Drama, on November 10.^[1]

"Drama" was used as part of the soundtrack for the Netflix television series XO, Kitty Season 2.^[2]

Composition

"Drama" is described as a hip-hop dance song with an aggressive drum sauce and sophisticated synth bass, and the lyrics contain a confident attitude that every story begins with you, and you can also meet aespa's dynamic vocals such as the harmony of the addictive top line and understated track, rough and unique rapping, and powerful high notes.^[3]

Commercial performance

According to Hanteo Chart, Drama sold 1,130,379 copies in its first week of release.^[4]

Drama debuted at #33 on the Billboard 200.^[5]

On January 11, 2024, Drama was certified Million by the Korean Music Contents Association (KMCA) for selling 1 million copies on Circle Chart.^[6]
