Armageddon is the first full-length album by aespa. It was released on May 27, 2024 with "Supernova" and "Armageddon" serving as the album's double title tracks.
"Supernova" was pre-released on May 13, 2024.
The physical album comes in 22 versions: two Authentic versions (Circle and Eye), five My Power versions (one group and four individual), four individual Superbeing versions, four individual Poster versions, Zine, CDP, LP and four individual SMini versions.
Background
On February 8, 2024, SM Entertaiment revealed that aespa will be releasing their first full-length album in the second quarter of the year.[1] On March 27, news outlet Ilgan Sports reported that aespa is preparing for a May comeback. In response, SM Entertainment stated that nothing has been confirmed yet and will reveal the detailed schedule later.[2] On April 22, aespa unveiled the intro video teaser for their first full-length album Armageddon, which will be released on May 27.[3]
Commercial performance
On May 27, SM Entertainment announced that Armageddon had surpassed 1.02 million stock pre-orders.[4]
According to Hanteo Chart, Armageddon sold over 1 million copies within its first week of release.[5]
Armageddon reached #1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 25 regions. Meanwhile the title track "Armageddon" hit #1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 25 regions, and topped the QQ Music's and the KuGou Music's digital album sales charts in China, as well as the AWA's realtime rising chart in Japan.[6]
Armageddon debuted at #25 on the Billboard 200.[7]
On February 18, 2025, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry announced that Armageddon was ranked #9 on their Global Album Chart 2024.[8]
