Ghost Dish is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It yields no Copy Ability when inhaled.
Physical Appearance
Ghost Dish is, as its name suggests, a possessed dinner plate. It is white in color with a yellow rim and green printing. The enemy is damaged, with large cracks in its center and chips missing from its edges.
Games
Kirby: Triple Deluxe
Ghost Dish appears exclusively in Stage 3 of Wild World and Stage 3 of Royal Road. It stays in mid-air perpetually, wobbling as it floats in place. When Kirby approaches, the enemy moves back, begins spinning, and quickly launches at him in a straight path. It deals damage if it crashes into him. If Kirby dodges it, the enemy continues flying forward until it goes off-screen or collides with something. Any collision causes the plate to shatter and vanish with a unique sound effect.
Ghost Dish often comes in trios or squads with each unit spacing itself apart from the others. This makes them slightly harder to avoid. Kirby can defeat Ghost Dish using his Slide, Air Gun, or Quick Fall techniques, though the latter may be the most challenging to properly utilize given the enemy's quick movement and deliberate movement.
Before reaching the enemy, Kirby finds a Miracle Fruit and obtains the Hypernova ability. This allows him to effortlessly consume several Ghost Dishes at a time. Defeating them this way prevents them from respawning should the hero leave the area and return.
