Lacrima

Lacrima (ラクリマ Rakurima?) is one of the main protagonists of the Centuria manga. She is the third daughter of the Supreme Lord, making her the third princess of her country.

After her brother Arkos was killed by Julian, Lacrima sought to avenge him by joining Elstri's cause in tracking down Julian and his adoptive sister Diana and eliminate the girl to prevent the fulfilment of her father's prophecy. Due to this, she was a major antagonist of the Western Border Arc during its first half. She soon became Julian's ally upon discovering the truth about Arkos' past actions and after establishing a bond with Diana, Titi, and Lukas.

Appearance

Lacrima has long hair tied into twin tails by dark hairpins, and, like her brother Arkos, she possesses long distinct eyelashes and sharp jagged-teeth. With her hair down, she is shown to hold a strong resemblance to her mother.

Her attire is a long-sleeved dress with dark fitted cuffs at the end of her sleeves, a large collar around her neck (as is worn by the royal family), and a dark skirt. Her dress features a midsection cut-out, exposing the sides of her torso. During the pre-timeskip, the midsection of Lacrima's dress was designed with a central vertical line and curved lines radiating outward symmetrically.

Personality

Lacrima desiring Julian

As a royal living in the palace, Lacrima is a melancholic individual who yearns for companionship. Her longing stems from the disdain her family harbors for her gift, which they consider weak, and the way the servants treat her as an outsider. As a result of this constant scorn and isolation, Lacrima developed a deep-seated inferiority complex and a sense of desperation. Despite being aware of the toxicity of this relationship, Lacrima willingly embroiled herself in an abusive relationship with her brother, Arkos, viewing his cruelty as a twisted form of attention. Her desperation for her family's acknowledgement also led to her desiring to bear his children to produce offsprings with strong gifts. Lacrima would later transfer this objective over to Julian, having viewed him as a suitable replacement due to him possessing a gift that allowed him to kill her brother.

Lacrima's empathy

In a stark contrast to her older brother's callous disregard for human lives, Lacrima is shown to be more humane and compassionate. When it comes to whatever confrontation she may have with someone she deems as her enemy, Lacrima wishes to avoid endangering civilians since they have done nothing to warrant harm. She urged Lukas to stay out of her conflict with Julian, clarifying that Julian was the only person she aimed to confront. Following her defeat by Julian and the kind treatment she received from his adoptive family, Lacrima's demeanor shifts, revealing her non-hostile and sociable nature upon taking up on their invitation to visit them whenever. Upon learning from Titi that Arkos was the man responsible for shattering her family after killing her caretaker Angvall, Lacrima felt deeply empathetic and believed that Julian had every right to kill her brother.

She is also straightforward and pragmatic. Figuring that Julian and his family needed a supply of water after she broke the aqueduct, Lacrima offered to give them water directly from her body using her gift. Though Diana and Titi denied Lacrima's proposal, having found it gross to drink water sourced from a person, Lacrima found no issue, simply reasoning that "water is water". She then proposed absorbing water from a nearby lake to transport it over to the aqueduct, only for this idea to be denied as well since her gigantic size as a result from the absorption made her look conspicuous, including her solution to split herself into multiples clones.

Although Lacrima considers her gift to be feeble, she displayed a rather arrogant attitude during her fight against Julian, as her opponent was unaware of the limitations of her power. However, after he managed to uncover these weaknesses, she became easily flustered, which ultimately gave her away.

In spite of her rejection, Lacrima remains proud of her royal lineage. After being defeated by Julian and treated to a meal by his family, she truthfully divulged information rather than lie as to not tarnish the royal family name any further.

Relationships

Family

Lacrima has a strained relationship with her family. Their pride for powerful gifts as their bloodline continues leads her parents and siblings to view her as a disgrace, as her gift is considered weak compared to their own. Notably, her brother, Arkos, has subjected her to severe physical abuse due to her possessing a weaker power akin to his, believing that her existence diminishes his own stature. Despite the mistreatment, Lacrima willingly allowed Arkos to do as he pleased with her and was grateful for the attention he was giving her. In addition, she sought to bear his children with strong gifts in order to gain her family's approval.

Arkos

Lacrima had a dysfunctional relationship with her older brother Arkos. She was regularly abused by Arkos for being born with a weak gift, viewing her power as a bad reflection on his gift that is similar. Despite being treated as such, Lacrima was strongly attached to her brother and grateful due to said abuse being the only attention she ever received from her family. She also found him as her way back into her family's good grazes by hopefully bearing his children with strong gifts. Learning of his death by Julian's hands left her distraught, feeling utterly alone within the palace in his absence. She then resolved to avenge his death by joining forces with Elstri's party who plan to eliminate Julian acting as Diana's guardian. It wasn't until she met Titi that she let go of her desire for revenge after the young woman revealed to her Arkos' crime against her family in the past.

Friends and Allies

Julian and his Family

Lacrima held a grudge against Julian for killing her brother Arkos and became a part of Elstri's party to track him down and avenge her brother's death.

Five years later, Lacrima managed to track Julian down to his home and attacked him on sight, revealing her identity and declaring herself to be his executioner. Although she allied with Elstri's party, whose goal is to kill Diana, Lacrima clarified to Julian that she had no intention of targeting her after she came out outside with Titi. She also extended her non-hostility to Titi and Lukas, demanding that they not interfere and that she has no desire hurting anyone else but Julian. After falling unconscious from being defeated by Julian, Lacrima was put in a bed by the group until she woke up. Upon waking up, Titi extended an invitation for the princess to join the group for breakfast. Lacrima accepted this offer and felt no inclination to resume her conflict with Julian when she encountered him at the dining table. She found it rather strange to be treated with such friendliness by Titi and Diana while sharing a meal, particularly as Diana expressed admiration for her powers, a gesture of kindness she had never experienced before. Lacrima also was willingly to share information to Julian, wishing to avoid further tarnishing her family's name after everything that has happened. Lacrima then departed from the group with permission from Julian to continue confronting him whenever she wanted.

After reflecting on how Julian's family were the first people in a while she shared a meal with, Lacrima found herself developing a fondness for them. Using Julian's permission to continue her vendetta against him as a rationale for being present, Lacrima revisited their residence the next day to re-experience the kindness they had extended to her. During this moment, she offered her help to fix the aqueduct she broke during her previous battle against Julian and was treated to lunch for her help. After spending time with Diana, Lacrima realized that the Child of Prophecy is no different from a typical young girl and not a disturbing child as she had original portrayed. Lacrima's urge to battle Julian again seemingly subsided as she did not mind engaging him in casual conversation. Nevertheless, she still resented Julian for his actions towards Arkos and the gifted assassins targeting Diana, believing him to be heartless for taking lives without regard for the families left behind. However, the revelation from Titi that Arkos killed Angvall, Julian and Titi's beloved guardian, gave Lacrima a new perspective. Understanding that Julian killed her brother to avenge Angvall's murder, Lacrima found that he was in the right and released her grudge and desire for vengeance against him. However, with Arkos death eliminating her chance to receive standing within her family by bearing his children with potential strong gifts, Lacrima felt that Julian needed to take responsibility by acting as her brother's substitute.

Lacrima deems Julian to be handsome, an assessment she made at the time of their first meeting while still holding onto her grudge.

Zira

Zira was assigned to be Lacrima's attendant following Arkos' death. The two are shown to be on good terms, as Lacrima briefly settled down her tantrum from Zira counseling her, and are allies of Elstri's team to assassinate Diana. However, despite Lacrima's and Zira's good relationship, the difference in station prevents Zira from seeing herself as Lacrima's equal, straining them somewhat.

Enemies

Elstri's Party

Elstri

Lacrima and Elstri had common ground in their shared objective to eliminate Julian and formed an alliance, along with Zira and Orthrus. That said, Lacrima's and Elstri's alliance was purely a pragmatic one and the two of them were shown to be apathetic towards each other beyond that. When Lacrima mourned for her brother's passing, Elstri dismissed her feelings as a tantrum and didn't show any concern at Lacrima possibly risking her life by fighting Julian.

Others

Sorceresses

Lacrima has little trust in the Sorceresses, however, she acknowledges them as valuable allies to collaborate with. She voiced her willingly to cooperate with two of the Sorceresses after they offered to assist Elstri's party to assassinate Diana. However, she responded with hostility when one of them attempted to engage her in a friendly manner.

Synopsis

Pre-Timeskip

Beginning of the End Arc

Elstri's party

Upon learning of Arkos' murder, Lacrima erupts in anger within her room and is consoled by Zira who was recently appointed her attendant. She then sought from Zira the identity of her brother's killer in order to seek vengeance for his death. Later, Lacrima, Zira, and the Black Knight Orthrus meet with Elstri as she gives them the secret mission of hiring powerful individuals from the country to assassinate Diana and put an end to the prophecy.[1]

During the group's discussion regarding the recruitment of assassins to carry out the elimination of Diana, two Sorceresses enter the meeting and extend their offer of assistance, citing a shared alignment of goals. Lacrima, despite her skepticism towards them, conveys her readiness to work together if it ensures Julian's death. She then expresses her contempt for one Sorceress who tries to engage her in a friendly manner.[2]

Post-Timeskip

Western Border Arc

Feeling bored and lonely while drinking tea, Lacrima asks Zira to join her. Zira declines, stating it's beyond her position and suggests Lacrima invite one of her siblings. Lacrima reveals her family has ostracized her due to her lesser ability to liquefy her body compared to Arkos' hydrokinesis. Despite agreeing with her family's view of her inadequacy, Zira contends that worth isn't determined by lineage. Lacrima counters that this belief doesn't extend to those in the palace born with divine powers, deepening her longing for Arkos, the only one who acknowledged her. Later, Lacrima meets with Elstri and a team of gifted assassins hired for the mission to assassinate Diana. Determined not to let any hitman take away her chance for vengeance for Arkos, Lacrima decides to pursue Julian herself by enlisting the help of one of the gifted ones with the power to trace connections, using this ability to locate Julian swiftly.[3]

Julian vs Lacrima

After managing to track Julian down to the western border, Lacrima confronts him as he is conversing with Lukas and takes the time to identify him. Upon being asked by him who she is, Lacrima responds by attacking him with her power and reveals herself to be the third princess and Arkos' sister who has come to take his life.[4][5] Lacrima becomes surprised by how fast Julian is in evading her attacks but tells him that it is useless for him to try to attack her liquefied body after his fist fails to connect.[6] After her assault on Julian, Lacrima notices Lukas gripping his sword, clearly concerned about Julian's injury, and cautions him against intervening, asserting that her intentions are solely directed at Julian and that she means no harm to anyone else. Upon uncovering that her unliquified heart serves as the vulnerability of her gift, Lacrima reacts in distress, urging Julian not to jump to conclusions. This response indicates to Julian that he has correctly identified his key to defeating her. Lacrima then retaliates by attacking Julian with multiple water whips. Julian, using only his bare hands, successfully blocks her assaults and gradually dismantles the ends of the whips, which leads to a decrease in Lacrima's size as she cannot reabsorb the water separated from her.[7]

Julian's explosion

Upon realizing Julian's strategy, Lacrima chooses to retreat to the aqueduct where she jumps in and absorb the water to become a giant. She then punches Julian into her fist and has him flow to the center of her body to trap him. In addition to drowning him, Lacrima reduces her size to increase the water pressure, intending to crush Julian.[8] Her delight at the prospect of ending Julian's life becomes fleeting, as he triggers an ink explosion from his body, allowing him to escape from her body. Upon returning to her original size, Lacrima discovers Julian holding her heart that he managed to take during the explosion. In response, she shapes a water knife from her hair, ready to fight back. However, she faints from the agony caused by Julian gripping her heart.[9]

Lacrima having breakfast with Julian and the others

After the battle, Lacrima cries in her sleep remembering her physical abuse by Arkos and is put in a bed by Julian, Titi, Diana, and Lukas. Upon waking up, Lacrima discovers Diana at her side and is invited by Titi to join them for breakfast, much to Lacrima's confusion. At the dining table, she hesitates to partake in the meal, concerned that it may be poisoned. However, when Diana offers her water, she reconsiders, reasoning that if they had intended to harm her, they would have done so while she was unconscious. She then becomes embarrassed to hear the sound of her stomach growling, which prompts Diana to attempt to feed her a spoon of soup. Lacrima declines to this gesture and takes the spoon to feed herself. Titi inquiries about its taste, to which Lacrima replies that it is acceptable. Lukas comments on how the food must take good to her since she is eating with company, prompting Lacrima to remark on his unsettling boldness. Julian asks Lacrima if anyone else, including Elstri, is aware of their location. Lacrima reveals that she alone possesses this information, leading Lukas to comment on her swift disclosure. Lacrima asserts that she will not further damage the royal family's reputation following her defeat and the kindness they have shown her. Her discomfort grows as Diana expresses admiration for her power.[10]

As she prepares to leave, Lacrima informs Julian that she will not disclose any additional information and questions his reluctance to take her life. Julian clarifies that his hesitation arises from her lack of intent to harm Diana and expresses empathy for her quest for vengeance regarding a family member. While he recognizes the validity of her motives, he insists that he cannot sacrifice his own life, as it does not belong solely to him, and encourages her to pursue him again if she desires. With this said, Lacrima departs but stops for a brief moment after hearing Titi and Diana give their goodbyes. As she walks away, Lacrima finds herself feeling confused and humiliated by the nature of her enemies. Nevertheless, she contemplates how long it has been since she last shared a meal with someone.[11]

Chapter 36

The next day, Lacrima storms back to Julian and the others, announcing that she is here for "revenge". While Diana is thrilled to see her, Julian tells Lacrima to leave as they are currently busy repairing the aqueduct she damaged during their battle. This prompts Lacrima to remind him how he gave her permission the other day to return as many times as she wants. As Lukas and Titi stress their urgent need for water, Lacrima offers her own by using her gift to direct her water into Titi's bucket, much to the disgust of Titi and Diana. Julian mocks Lacrima for shrinking after donating her water, taunting that she will never defeat him like that, which infuriates her. Lacrima is then suggested by Lukas to help them fix the aqueduct, reminding her that she was the one who broke it and the fact that they previously showed her hospitality. Lacrima initially finds the idea of a princess doing labor as ridiculous but relents when Diana asks her. Lacrima walks with Titi and Diana to a nearby river to collect water. Lacrima offers to effectively transfer a day's worth of water over to the aqueduct by absorbing it but is told by Titi that this will risk having them discovered. Lacrima then tries to fix this problem by creating water clones to reduce her size, only to be told by Titi that she still stands out. Later, Lacrima approaches Julian, voicing her surprised that Diana, the Child of Prophecy, is no different from an ordinary child and not disturbing as she initially portrayed her. Julian not only agrees with her but also gives a doting remark about his sister, prompting Lacrima to acknowledge him as her father until she is corrected by him. Lacrima then challenges Julian's kindness, accusing him of killing the ones sent to assassinate Diana without considering if they had families, which leaves him conflicted. Their discussion is cut short as Titi, Diana, and Lukas come baring lunch. Lacrima becomes surprised that they prepared a meal for her as well, to which Titi explains that she earned it for working. Lacrima, still in disbelief, reiterates that she should still be considered their enemy.[12]

Lacrima shocked by Titi

Lacrima eats lunch with Titi and compliments her cooking. After Lacrima is asked by Titi if her meals in the palace were better and replies that the gourmet food served were unenjoyable, she inquires to Titi who taught her to cook. After a moment's hesitation, Titi reveals that it was Angvall, a key family member. When Lacrima asks about Angvall's fate, Titi solemnly presents a piece of Angvall's hair, revealing that her brother Arkos killed her. Upon hearing this, Lacrima stares at Titi with a look of shock.[13] Knowing what Arkos was capable of, Lacrima believes in Titi's words without hesitation and comes to understand Julian's actions. Despite her brother's actions, Lacrima receives reassurance from Titi that she holds no animosity towards her and that she and Diana are glad to have her as a female friend after years of being on the move.[14]

Lacrima wanting to have Julian's baby

As night falls, Julian encounters Lacrima outside and asks if she is ready to fight him again. Lacrima responds that she has changed her mind and prefers to have a conversation instead. She tells Julian that she now understands his reasons for killing Arkos after being informed by Titi, and apologizes for attacking him without fully comprehending the situation. Lacrima then shares with him information about gifts and how her father is unique among gifted ones due to being blessed with power from a god, which Julian becomes skeptical of when she reveals that the god is associated with the sea. Lacrima further explains that the royal family has historically practiced inbreeding to preserve their power through generations, a custom that did not effectively apply to her due to her perceived weak power. Reflecting on her place within the family, Lacrima admits that she once wished to bear Arkos' children, believing it would earn her recognition in the palace. Still yearning for acknowledgment, Lacrima pins Julian down, demanding that he take her brother's place, insisting that this is the only way she can offer him her forgiveness.[15]

Julian tries convincing Lacrima not to go through with her actions, arguing that he is not part of the royal family and that he was once a slave. Nevertheless, Lacrima disregards his reasoning, asserting that he could easily be perceived as a noble with the powerful gift he possesses, and notes that nearly all gifted ones in the country have some connection with the king. Lacrima also gives her opinion on how engaging in congress with him is a much better option than her family's choice to inbreed, reasoning that it presents a lower risk to both mental and physical health, and humorously remarks that she might be one of the few crazy people within her family based on this fact. Before getting a chance to proceed, Lacrima is Titi tackled off of Julian by Titi after she catches them up and becomes prompted to stop her. From this action, Lacrima presumes that she and Julian are involved in a romantic relationship. Titi dismisses this but tells Lacrima that she still can't allow her to go through with her attempt, much to Lacrima's confusion. This then leads to the two young women fighting over Julian, much to Julian's dismay to be caught in the middle as they tug at his arm.[16]

After agreeing to let the previous matter slide, Lacrima informs the group that she tracked them down using the powers of a gifted one who can trace connections—one of the select few Elstri has gathered in the palace. She then advises them to consider relocating, yet she staunchly refutes any notion of being worried about them when Titi teases her regarding her suggestion. Lacrima then learns from Julian that he, Titi, and Diana have been trapped at the western border due to the difficulties of crossing it, a situation she surmised given the area being a warzone. Lukas suggests they try crossing the sea, but Lacrima dismisses this idea, pointing out that the ports are heavily guarded by powerful gifted ones, which would likely result in a fierce battle if engaged. Lukas then proposes contacting the Margrave of the western border, informing the group that he has a strong enough association with the Margrave to facilitate their crossing. As Lukas steps outside to make the preparations, Lacrima follows him to ask about his identity, having found it suspicious that someone she's never seen in the palace is acquainted with the Margrave who was a former Black Knight.[17]

Lacrima once again pays the group a visit to join them for shopping. After finishing shopping, Julian finds himself reuniting with his mother who is now enslaved and decides to buy her to confront her about her misdeeds she did to him. While Julian speaks with his mother privately, Lacrima perceives the gravity of the situation and becomes prompted to move Diana away by offering to carry her.[18] Later. she urges Diana to address her by her true name rather than "Water Lady". However, when Diana affectionately calls her "Miss Lacy" for simplicity, Lacrima becomes charmed and asks if she can take Diana back to the palace, only for Lukas to quickly decline. She and Titi are then charmed by Julian smile and laughter to the moment, leading Lacrima to remark to Titi on how unfair his facial expression is.[19]

Birthday celebration

Lacrima and the others become informed by Lukas that the Margrave will be able to meet with them in three days after he finishes his task on the battlefield. This news excites Diana, as it coincides closely with her upcoming birthday, prompting Julian to decide to schedule a meeting with the Margrave the next day to celebrate Diana's special day. On the day of the celebration, Lacrima generously treats the group to food, which leads her to boast about her generosity. However, she soon discovers from Titi that Julian shares the same birthday as Diana, leaving her disappointed that she only bought a gift for Diana. Julian reassures her that a gift for him is not necessary, which adds to her embarrassment over her earlier comments.[20] In the midst of the birthday celebration at the dwelling, the group is informed by Lukas of Elstri's party's arrival. Julian requests for Lacrima and Lukas with the crucial task of escorting Titi and Diana to safety. Initially startled by the request, Lacrima hesitates, reminding Julian that her allegiance does not lie with them. However, Julian's sincere appeal and dependence on her persuade Lacrima to agree, albeit with a stern warning that she will leave them if the situation deteriorates.[21]

Lacrima protects Titi and Diana

At the escape route, Lacrima is informed by Titi of Lukas' sudden absence, much to her dismay to have something unexpected happen during a crisis. Their path is soon blocked by Elstri, Helem, and four assassins. Elstri praises Lacrima for capturing the Child of Prophecy and demands that Diana be handed over to her. After reassuring the frightened Diana, Lacrima activates her gift and firmly commands Elstri and her subordinates to stay away. Although Lacrima hesitates when Elstri challenges her decision, she quickly pleads for Diana's life, arguing that the child has committed no crime and should not be punished for actions she has yet to take. Elstri counters with grim conviction, asserting that Diana is destined to bring destruction and must be sacrificed to save countless lives. Frustrated by this rationale, Lacrima criticizes Elstri's ignorance and ridicules her approach as "not cute", provoking laughter from Helem and irritation from Elstri in the process. Lacrima further defends Diana, Titi, and Julian, citing the kindness they have shown her, and declares her unwavering resolve to protect the child, even if it means sacrificing the lives of many and her father's. Angered by her defiance, Elstri brands Lacrima a fool and orders the assassins to kill the girls while exposing Lacrima’s vulnerability.[22] Despite stating her resolve to protect them, Lacrima is urged by Titi to flee, being told that she and Julian do not wish for bystanders to get dragged into their conflicts. Annoyed, Lacrima vehemently protests, asserting that she is now part of their group the moment they shared meals together. As she steels herself to fight, Lukas appears to swiftly kill one of the assassins, much to Lacrima and Titi's shock and confusion.[23] Recognizing Lacrima's uneasiness, Lukas firmly urges Lacrima to regain her composure, reminding her of the critical need to protect Titi and Diana, and instructs her to focus her efforts on engaging the remaining gifted assassin, while he prepares to face the sword-wielding one alone.[24]

Lacrima defeats the Earth Gifted One

Lacrima confronts the gifted assassin while protecting Titi and Diana. Unfortunately, her water gifts prove to be ineffective against his earth manipulation gift as it absorbs her water, shrinks her body from her reserves diminishing, and increases the weight of his earth pillar strikes. Just as she considers retreating to the aqueduct to turn the battle around, the assassin taunts her, revealing that it has been destroyed and that her gift's many vulnerabilities, which Elstri had warned him about, render her unfit for battle. Despite the grim circumstances, Lacrima remains steadfast in her defense of Titi and Diana and shifts her approach, launching water bolts aimed between the gaps of the assassin's defense and challenges him to a war of attrition. As her form distorts from the depletion of her water, the assassin commends her efforts before attempting to strike the girls again. In response, Lacrima leaps in front of the oncoming earth pillar to shield Titi and Diana, resulting her body dispersing, much to Diana's shock to witness. Confident of his victory, the assassin approaches Titi and Diana, mocking Lacrima’s selflessness as pointless. However, he is unexpectedly stabbed from behind by a reformed Lacrima, who reveals that she cleverly feigned death and had hidden her core in one of her water bolts that passed by the assassin, allowing her to gradually reform while remaining concealed. As the assassin succumbs to his fatal injury, realizing too late that Lacrima had connected her two forms beneath the ground, Lacrima explains how embracing her gift and its limitations gave her the advantage in their battle, as his underestimation of her ultimately led to his defeat.[25]

After both she and Lukas are victorious in their battles, Lacrima regroups with Lukas, letting him know that she knows that he is a gifted one after catching him using his gift during his battle with the sword-wielding gifted assassin. Lukas commends Lacrima for her triumph over her opponent and that they now hold an advantage over their foes, with him also believing that Julian should be doing fine on his end as well. However, when Lukas' attempt to strike Elstri is thwarted by the cloaked figure, he urges Lacrima to retreat with him, realizing they cannot defeat this new opponent. Lacrima is taken aback by his sudden shift in demeanor. Lukas emphasizes his point, telling her that she should be more familiar with the hooded figure than anyone else. She initially becomes confused by what he means by this but soon becomes astonished to discover that the hooded figure is none other than her brother Arkos, brought back to life.[26]

Abilities and Powers

Supernatural Abilities

Gift [v · e]
Lacrima possesses a gift that she inherited from her father, the Supreme Lord. Much like her brother, Arkos, the markings of her gift take on the form of a liquid-like pattern that spread from either her right or left eye.
Hydrophysiology
Lacrima's gift gives her the power to transform her body (including her clothes) into water, with the exception of her heart at the center that serves as her core.
Strengths
Lacrima's giant form

The major strength of this power is that it allows Lacrima to create, manipulate, and become water. Once transformed into her elemental state, she achieves intangibility and becomes immune to physical attacks—unless they target her heart, her sole vulnerability. This also includes the capability of creating constructs such as whips, blades, bullets, and clones. Moreover, Lacrima can absorb water from external sources, enabling her to expand her form. This absorption not only amplifies her strength but also allows her to grow to colossal proportions when a significant water source is available, transforming her into a towering giant.

Weaknesses

The main weakness of Lacrima's power is her heart at the center of her body that remains unliquefied. In other words, Lacrima can be susceptible to harm if an opponent aims for her core. Julian has observed that the manner in which Lacrima's water returns to her body reveals this weakness. Another weakness to Lacrima's power is the amount of water her body contains at any given moment. If any part of her body moves too far from her heart, Lacrima becomes unable to reabsorb her water, resulting in a reduction in her size. However, she can restore her water supply as long as there is an external source of water that she can absorb.

Usage
Lacrima using her power

Lacrima's uses her gift in combat. Her offensive way of fighting with her power involves transforming her arms into water whips to lash out at her opponents. Since her body is composed of water, she harbors no fear of incoming attacks, allowing them to pass directly through her. By transforming her body into a larger size from absorbing a large quantity of water, Lacrima can absorb her enemies into her body where they can drown to death. Furthermore, she can shrink back to her original size afterward by compressing the water inside her, resulting in her victims being crushed from the water pressure.

Techniques
Water Whip

(みずむち Mizu no Muchi?)

Lacrima morphs her arm into a water whip and employs it to attack her target. The cutting power of her whip is lethal enough to sever flesh and even slice through solid stone. As for speed, Lacrima boasts that her whip slashes surpass the speed of sound, making it nearly impossible for her opponents to dodge her strikes without enhanced speed and reflexes. She can also form multiple whips from both arms to overwhelm her opponents. This technique was first used against Julian as a surprise attack the moment she located the man.
Water Bullet

(みず だん Mizudan?)

Lacrima swipes her arm in a swift motion to fire compressed, highly pressurized water bullets, enabling her to injure her opponents without getting close. The bullets are strong enough to penetrate through defenses, such as stone pillars, and flesh. The attack was first used against an earth manipulation gifted assassin.
