~ William, screaming over the Jigsaw Killer.

William Easton, also known as Will and Mr. E., is the main protagonist of Saw VI.

He is a former corrupt insurance executive at Umbrella Health, later the anti-heroic savior of the movie. Although he played the best out of everyone in the Games of Jigsaw, he was killed later by Brent as a act of blindly vengance.

He was potrayed by Peter Outerbridge, who also potrayed the live-action interception of Travis Grady.

Biography

Abduction

When William was alone in his office, he watched another news report about John Kramer on the TV. Since the revelation of John's identity as the Jigsaw Killer more than six months earlier, William had become increasingly nervous and was afraid of becoming a target of him as well because of their disputes in the past. His nervousness had become worse, when John's deadly torture games went on even after his death. While he watched the report, he was eventually surprised by a sudden blackout. When he was about to leave his office to see if his janitor, Hank, was still in the building. Alerted by this, he grabbed a gun from the drawer of his desk and quickly went into hiding. When the person entered, William left his hiding spot and told the invader to freeze. However, the man turned around and was subsequently shot by William.

Moments later, William realized that the man was in fact a security guard. While he tried to help him, the guard attempted to warn him of Hoffman who was approaching from behind. Unfortunately, William didn't understand the warning and was subdued by Detective Mark Hoffman, John Kramer's successor, who had disguised himself with a sinister pig mask. Afterwards, he took William to the abandoned Rowan Zoological Institute, where he had prepared a brutal and vicious game for him. While he was still unconscious, Hoffman placed a key inside William's body before he placed him in his first trap.

Trial

William was captured when he was working late, and was forced to overcome a linear path of games. First, in Oxygen Crusher, with the janitor Hank, second, the Take Them Trap, with Addy and Allen, third, The Steam Maze, with Debbie, fourth, The Carousel Trap, with Josh, Aaron, Dave, Emily, Shelby, Gena and last, The Mother/Son Trap, with Tara Abbott and Brent Abbott. Many of his co-workers died as he progressed.

He was killed himself when Brent Abbott activated a trap with a lever. During his tests, he had a key surgically sewn into his body, which was vital to the Steam Room trap. In the Acid Room, he was killed (dissolved) by Hydrofluoric Acid.

Death

At the end of the trial, William enters a cage with the door closing behind him and 1 second remaining. William proclaims he succeeded as a door reveals two other cages beside his. Inside the others are his sister Pamela and the wife and son of Harold Abbott (Tara and Brent respectively). Jigsaw appears on a TV beside Brent and Tara. Jigsaw addresses Tara and offers her the power to free William or kill him in revenge for what he did to Harold. William realizes it was never his game, but it was his clients' game, and begs for their forgiveness. Tara considers killing William to stop him from hurting anyone else, but she refuses to go through with it. However, her son Brent grabs the lever and exclaims William deserves death for killing his father. Brent pulls the lever down to "Die" as several needles swing down from the ceiling and inject into William's back. William dies as he is injected with hydrofluoric acid, melting him in two.
