The Turk Region 「ターク
Overview
Terrain and Ecology
The Turk Region is located in the Central Lands. The landscape shows undulating hills and snow-capped mountains on the horizon of the region. A network of unpaved paths connect farms and settlements. There is a village built on a cliff with a statue of Himmel near a forest.
The region is shown to have rich farmlands that are used to grow abundant crops, such as pumpkins. Additionally, lush forests of deciduous trees are spread throughout the area. Many herbs and flowers grow on glades, which can be facilitated for medicinal purposes. One rare flower is the blue-moon weed, a species thought to have gone extinct,[1] and a closely related species can also be found in the region. Livestock like cattle and geese are raised. Seed rats are attracted by the seeds of the region's vegetation, and they are considered common vermin in the area[2] that bury their food, which led Frieren and Fern to discover blue-moon weed on an abandoned tower. Insects, like butterflies, are seen to inhabit the area alongside bigger animals, such as a large tortoise with herbage growing on its shell.
The Village
A small village is situated in the Turk region. It has many houses, shops, and an inn, with most of the structures and paths built with brick-like material. A herbalist resides in a building surrounded by plants. The statue of Himmel is made of bronze[3] and was built when the Hero Party saved the village from a monster attack decades ago.[4] Prior to Frieren and Fern's visit, the statue was covered in rust and surrounded by vegetation, but the two mages polished and decorated it with a field of blue-moon weed flowers.

On the outskirts of the village are numerous farmlands with individual homes nearby. Additionally, the ruins of abandoned cylindrical towers can be found past the forest, one of which has a giant field of blue-moon weed flowers growing on top.
Synopsis
History
Many years ago, the village was raided by a monster. Himmel the Hero managed to defeat it, saving a young girl in the process. As thanks, the villagers built a statue of Himmel out of bronze, though it took eighteen hours for him to choose a pose. The young girl rescued by Himmel grew up to become a herbalist and at some point, she gained knowledge about the blue-moon weed.
As the years passed, the villagers lost interest in the statue and discontinued maintenance, causing it to gain a thick patina and become hidden in the surrounding vegetation.
Beyond Journey's End Arc

Frieren and Fern help out a farmer with the harvest of pumpkins in exchange for a grimoire that produces warm tea. Afterwards, they meet an old herbalist that requests help cleaning a statue of the Himmel the Hero in exchange for teaching them about the vegetation in the region. Frieren uses one of her spells to clean the statue, and she also decides to plant blue-moon weed around it with a spell. However, in order do so, she must first observe a real blue-moon weed, so she and Fern begin searching for the flower in the forests of the region.
Frieren, Fern, and the herbalist spend half a year trying to find a specimen of blue-moon weed since it is now presumably extinct. After receiving seeds of a related species from the herbalist, they manage to find the blue-moon weed growing atop an abandoned tower inside the forest after following a seed rat. With this, Frieren formulates the magic to grow blue-moon weed and plants the flowers around the statue, later giving it a blue-moon weed flower crown.
