Yonnis[1] is a Sunfire Elf from Lux Aurea who got into a dispute about tradition with Lucia.[2]
Appearance
Yonnis is a muscular Sunfire Elf with brown skin and narrow eyes that are orange in color. He has messy reddish brown hair that reaches down to his neck and partly covers his forehead. He also has long, upward-pointing ears and pointy, gray horns. His eyebrows are thick, and his nose is round. Sand-colored markings stretch across his face and are placed in form of a symbol on each of his upper arms. His attire of choice is a sleeveless orange shirt with red accents, gray pants, and dark orange boots. For the ceremony to honor his deceased mother, his cheeks were painted with red streaks.[3]
Personality
Yonnis is a soft-spoken man who loves his mother, honors tradition, and is not afraid to stand up for himself. He has no tolerance for those who ridicule his beliefs, however.[3] Regardless, Yonnis also has a forgiving nature, since despite Lucia's actions, he agreed with Janai's verdict of sparing the architect so that she could build a shrine where Soul Candles can burn without harming anyone.[4]
Skills and Abilities
Sun Primal Connection
As an Sunfire Elf, Yonnis draws power from the Sun and is at his strongest when the sun is at its highest during noon. He is one of several Sunfire Elves who can enter a "heat-being mode", which causes his body to heat up, his skin to glow along golden lines that crack across his body, and his speed and strength to increase. In this state, he is immune to fire.[3]
