Doug is the son of Dopey, the most playful and silly of the Seven Dwarfs. He plays several instruments and is in the marching band.
Personality
Doug is a smart, sweet, yet socially awkward young man. He enjoys chemistry, saying it's almost like magic (this could hint that he too enjoys magic, even though it is frowned upon in Auradon). Despite knowing his family's past with the Evil Queen, Doug had been enchanted by Evie (the Evil Queen's daughter) practically at first sight and even went out of his way to help her when she was being scolded and threatened by a teacher who accused her of cheating. Doug also has a passion for music; is a member of his school's marching band, serving as the head drum major; and has stated his dream is to perform trumpet for 'The Dragon Slayers'. It is also shown that Doug could be easily manipulated (he followed Chad's order to avoid Evie, even when he didn't want to).
Physical Appearance
In the first movie he had wavy brown hair, green eyes and wore fancy clothing but not as fancy as the Princes. In the second movie he had a brown flattop with glasses that looked like they represented Evie. In the third movie he had shoulder length wavy brown hair in this movie and looked a little less fancy.
In "Day 6: Phone", he receives a box with objects sent by his uncles. He talks to his uncles on the phone about the things he received, which he ends up throwing most into the trash can.
In "Day 16: Hearts", he talks to Grumpy Jr. and Happy Jr. about his date with a girl while they give him advice.
In "Day 17: Broken", after a failed date in which the girl ended up with a broken arm, he apologizes to her and asks her about going on a second date, but she rejects him.
Doug is the son of Dopey the dwarf. He goes through the names of his uncles only to forget one as Carlos reminds him who it is. Doug then eventually starts to get along and fall for Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen. He also helps with studying science, showing her that she doesn't need to cheat and she is actually very good at chemistry herself.

During Mal's daydream about returning to her original life of being evil, Doug plays his trumpet as Jay throws an apple into it.
Once Evie's fashion business becomes popular within Auradon Prep, Doug eventually became her accountant and helped her with the financial side of things, he sat in her room as she spoke with Chad about his costume, Doug then showed Evie how much money she would make once she was paid for the Cotillion dresses and wondered what she would do with the money with Doug telling her it would be enough for a castle of her own choice as Evie tells him that he is the only prince for her.
Later on, he encounters Jay and Carlos wondering where Evie is as Carlos tells him that she was camping which raises Doug's suspicions due to Evie not being the type of person to camp though Carlos manages to assure him. After Evie returned from the Isle after rescuing Ben, Doug confronted Evie about her disappearance even questioning if she was seeing someone else and assumed his cousin, Hap, Evie admitted that she had been to the Isle of the Lost to free Ben.
He then attended Cotillion only to eventually witness Uma's arrival and watch as the latter fought against Mal and watched as Ben jumped into the water to attempt to stop the two.
His mention of "Heigh Ho" after meeting Evie is a reference to the song of his uncles in their debut film.
He plays several instruments and he's in the marching band as the head drum major.
Unlike his father, he can talk.
His worst fear is getting an A- as a grade.
His dream is to play the trumpet for The Dragon Slayers.
He enjoys chemistry as it is similar to magic.
Doug might know a little Spanish since he spoke it in "Did I Mention".
In Disney Descendants Yearbook, it is revealed that his "Secret Wish" is to be a Rock Star and that his "Not-so-secret Wish" is to spend more time with Evie.
Evie and Doug are revealed to be each other's True Love, proven in Descendants 3 when Evie used "True Love's Kiss" to wake up Doug from the sleeping spell cast by Audrey.
