The Gas Tank is a trap in Darkwood. Hitting the tank with a melee weapon causes it to propel forward a short distance, before exploding. The Gas Tank can also be shot with a firearm to detonate it in place.
Strategy
- Place Meat or the Protagonist's flesh close to a gas tank to lure nearby carnivores.
- Detonate the gas tank with a firearm to kill multiple enemies at once.
- Gas Tanks are very effective against closed off entrances such as wooden doors, allowing quick access to locked out areas. While the tank explosion does not damage metal doors or barricaded windows, the fire ensuing from it can damage the latter.
- Gas Tanks, like Exploding Barrels, are not considered pieces of furniture by enemies in the game and thus they won't attempt to break them, nor are they able to. Therefore, it is possible to use them as a permanent clutter, slowing down and blocking enemies. They can be destroyed, however, if the player strikes or shoots them.
