The Echidna is a playable mascot in Crossy Road that was added in the Australian Update.
Appearance
In reality, the echidna is an egg-laying Australian animal with a spiny back, a long snout and claws. The Echidna's body is brown with tan spines on it. It has a long mouth with a long tongue sticking out that makes it capable of catching ants. It is also known as a spiny anteater in real life. It also has its eyes on the side of it, rather than being in the front part of the mascot.
How to Obtain
The Echidna can be obtained for 100 Coins on the Prize Machine or purchased for $0.99/£0.67.
Characteristics
When playing as the Echidna, the Grasslands are replaced by the Desert. As such the Drop Bear, Eagle and Crocodile will all be present. Also, there will be tiles with ants moving around as groups, which can be eaten by the Echidna using its tongue if the Echidna is facing that spot and will make a slurping noise.
Trivia
- The player will find groups of ants the Echidna can eat while playing as it.
- Its tongue extends when it is eating the ants.
