The Clown is a playable mascot in Crossy Road. It was added in the Halloween Update 2017. The Clown is currently grouped with the Spooky mascots tab.
Appearance
The clown has a red hat with a yellow band on it, and pink hair underneath. His face is painted white and has a red nose. For the suit, he has a yellow part on the left and a red part on the right. The suit has green bows and green buttons, along with blue sleeves. His suit is too small, leaving his white shirtsleeves and white socks exposed. His shoes are light brown on the upper half and a darker shade of brown on the bottom.
Characteristics
When playing as the clown, the terrain is the normal grasslands with trees and rocks as the normal obstacles. Before starting a run, a clown car is parked and clowns tumble out from the side facing us. When the Clown mascot emerges, he exits the car from the other side. There are other clown cars in the traffic. The Clown does handstands, acrobatics, and strange moves at times when he moves. His movements are accompanied by laughs, boings, honking, and other zany sounds. When standing still, he juggles. Different musical themes can play when he dies.

The Clown is a secret mascot, which means it cannot be unlocked through the Prize Machine. The official Crossy Road Clown video on Youtube says to unlock the Clown, the player must play as the Hand and obtain about 15-20 coins. The coins do not need to be all obtained in one run.

- At the beginning of a run, the Clown will emerge from a clown car. These cars can be found on roads while playing as well.
- While standing idle, the Clown will appear to be juggling. While moving, instead of hopping normally, he will do somersaults.
- If you can find the Hispter Whale, instead of standing the clown will sit on it.
