Round 42 is a round appearing since Bloons TD 1. The round format changes depending on the game it appears in. In BTD5 and BTD6, the modern format of Round 42, the round consists of slightly spaced Regrow Rainbow Bloons followed by slightly spaced Camo Rainbow Bloons.

- Note: This strategy section mainly focuses on the BTD5 and BTD6 iterations of Round 42.
Tips
- Counter-Espionage is an effective but cheap way to decamo the Camo Rainbows on this round. Submerge and Support is another cost-efficient option for this round against the Camos, and so is Cleansing Foam.
- If both Regrow and Camo properties are the main problem for the defense, Cleansing Foam possesses the cheapest combat to both properties.
