Quarry

[Source]

Quarry is an Intermediate Map in Bloons TD 6. It was released on the Version 32.0 update, alongside Master Builder and Contested Territory.

Overview

In a white-colored mineral quarry, possibly marble or calcite, there is a bloon track that sets the bloons from the top of the cliff down two waterfalls and flow towards the right at the bottom of the valley. There is water in a wide river that allows placement of water towers like Monkey Buccaneers and Monkey Subs. There are some boulders on the far left and right sides that are considered unplaceable land. The left side also features a yellow dump truck, and at the top-right corner is another yellow dump truck.

Bloons go at normal speed when they are on the stone path, and move 15% faster while on the river rapid. In general, the bloons travel in a zigzag formation, traveling from the top, following downwards along the paths as directed, and ending out at the bottom-right of the lowest part of the quarry.

After Round 39, the yellow dump truck on the top-right corner will leave, opening way to all MOAB-class bloons entering from there on Round 40 onwards.

There is an Easter egg in Quarry that can be activated by tapping rocks in the order shown in the picture below and then repeatedly clicking the cracks that appear. Upon completion, the top rocky layer reveals a dinosaur fossil and after that if you tap the first waterfall, it will briefly reveal an egg.

Trivia

  • This is the third map in BTD6 to start with the letter "Q", the first is Quad followed by Quiet Street.
    • It is also the second Intermediate Map in BTD6 to start with the letter "Q".
  • Quarry is the second map to utilize the "faster lane" mechanic, first being Workshop.
  • This map is technically the second intermediate track to feature separate pathing for bloons and blimps, although the paths are fairly close to each other and not as distinct as in harder maps, such as Cargo or Workshop.
  • When this map is in Reverse Mode, and the bloons go upstream, they still get increased speed, which doesn't make sense.
