Sonic Disk

Sonic Disks,[CN 1][CN 2][DVD 1] also known as Amp Disks,[script 1][1] are small metal disks created and used offensively by Evolved Sonorosians that can create sound waves.

Appearance

In Ultimate Alien, Ultimate Echo Echo and Sentient Ultimate Echo Echo's Sonic Disks are a black disk with a light blue circle on one side which is where the sound waves are created.

In Omniverse, Negative Ultimate Echo Echo's Sonic Disks look just like his head.

Functions

Sonic Disks fly at a target and project powerful sonic blasts, which can knock someone out, shatter steel, or even crush a military tank, with relative ease.

Sonic Disks can duplicate themselves.

Sonic Disks can continue flying and attacking when Ultimate Echo Echo transforms back to normal.[2]

Weaknesses

Sonic Disks are vulnerable to electricity, which also affects the user of the disks themselves are electrocuted.[3]

Sonic Disks are not very durable, as they can be destroyed by a Techadon Robot's laser blasts or an Anodite's manna attacks.

History

Ultimate Alien

Ultimate Echo Echo first used his Sonic Disks in Map of Infinity to battle some Necrofriggian colonists.

In Absolute Power: Part 2, Ultimate Echo Echo used the Sonic Disks to battle Ultimate Kevin. During the battle, it's revealed that the sonic disks can multiply and perform a move called "Sonic Doom".

Sentient Ultimate Echo Echo used the Sonic Disks to distract Gwen inside the Ultimatrix in The Ultimate Sacrifice.

Omnicverse

Negative Ultimate Echo Echo used a group of sonic disks and sends them flying to surround Eye Guy and project powerful sonic blasts that injured Eye Guy's ears in The Ultimate Heist.

Trivia

  • Whenever Echo Echo goes Ultimate, any Echo Echo clones active at the time will turn into Sonic Disks,[4] but if all Echo Echo clones go Ultimate at the same time, they will instead merge into Ultimate Echo Echo.[2]
  • Derrick J. Wyatt thought that Ultimate Echo Echo's Sonic Disks could detach from him and then a body would drop down from the disk so he could duplicate by transforming rather than copying. This is why he redesigned Ultimate Echo Echo's disks in Omniverse to resemble his head, only to later find out he could not duplicate.[DJW 1]
    • However, In Derrick's opinion, Ultimate Echo Echo can duplicate in Omniverse[DJW 2] despite being unable to display the power on-screen.[DJW 3] He also explained his inability to do so in Ultimate Alien as being due to a glitch with the Ultimatrix.[DJW 4]
