The Undead is a type of enemy in Angry Birds Epic that auto-revive after either 2 or three turns have passed while at least 1 enemy is still present.

Appearance

Undead pigs often look like characters often associated with either death or being undead, often being different based on the pig type:

  • The common undead pig is often a white sheet in the shape of a pig, floating off of the ground, similar to how a ghost is commonly portrayed as. These may have, for example: blue hair (similar to Disney & Kingdom Hearts Hades), or a lantern (similar to a rokurokubi, a Japanese yokai),
  • Brute undeads have hats similar to Frankenstein. Their weapon of choice is a stick that has the finger of Frankenstein.
  • Undead wizard variants (Spirit Callers) look like necromancers. These wield bones for staffs.
  • Undead Foreman Pigs resemble pirate captains but hold pointers instead of telescopes.
  • The base appearance of undeads such as Lefty, Righty, the mummies, & Stinky Stanley resembles a zombie, with the stitches around the body & a more saturated green. For undeads such as Lefty, these wear a broken helmet similar to that of Red's Knight class, & use makeshift spears as weapons. For undeads such as Righty & Stinky Stanley, these wear a pile of rubbish on their heads. For the mummies, they wear toilet paper on their heads & use bones for clubs.

Abilities

Because undeads are more of a pig faction than a specific type of pig, their abilities vary depending on the base pig type:

Zombie undeads can reduce a target's attack after attacking them (knights & mummies) or spit on them, inflicting a poison debuff that deals damage to the afflicted after their turn ends (garbage zombies).

The ghost pigs can make allied enemies invisible (only the lantern & the blue hair ones as far as shown), decreasing the chance for the target to take damage from enemy attacks (stacks with the damage nullification of Dodge).

Spirit Callers can summon ghosts with seaweed on their heads that wield anchors(?) as weapons after a charge-up of 3 turns.

How to Counter

The only thing setting apart undeads from other enemies is their revival upon KO. Otherwise, they're just pretty standard.

It's best to focus on all non-undeads (or any undeads with the highest HP if unapplicable) before going straight for the undeads. This is especially important in final encounter Wizpig's 1st phase, as both Lefty & Righty immediately get KO'd when Wizpig is downed, and both of them are annoying especially since Wizpig can just make them attack a random target.

Prince Porky is especially strong against undeads, as his Rage Chili move, Holy Hand Grenade, immediately removes all undeads that are either currently reviving or got KO'd by the blast itself. This is especially useful against Demonic Wizpig, as this will immediately delete all the ghosts before Wizpig can absorb them for HP.
