Pogg is the one of the two guards for Pig City's Great Doors. He initially worked the night shift, but eventually transfers over to the day shift.
Appearance
He bares a resemblance to Corporal Pig, with a matching helmet. However, his eyes are visible, similarly to the old toons design and classic sprites for the helmet pigs. The story describes him as being more pale and more out of shape than the average pig, but the artwork does not reflect this description.
Personality
Pogg's selfishness is only rivaled by his laziness. His time spent on the night shift was almost exclusively napping or eating, and is startled and unprepared whenever someone actually comes to the door. He was also willing to lie to defend his position as night guard, as he gave Loopo the day guard a phony excuse when he asks to swap shifts with him. Loopo immediately suspected him of lying, so he's apparently not very convincing. Pogg is not without remorse, however, as he accepts Loopo's proposal to switch shifts once he learns how drastically working the day shift was effecting Loopo.

The Night Knocker
In this story, Pogg starts out as the night guard of the great door to Pig City. When Loopo tries to convince him to swap shifts, he lies to Loopo and blows him off. The following nights, Pogg is tormented by a mysterious visitor who arrives at the great door every night. Eventually, the shadowy figure tackles Pogg. Once he breaks free, he finds that the night knocker was actually Loopo. Mechanic Pig arrives, thinking the great door broke after hearing Pogg scream, and explains that Loopo has been sleepwalking due to the stress of working the day shift. Pogg, feeling guilty for causing Loopo so much trouble, finally agrees to switch shifts. Surprisingly, Pogg ends up enjoying working the day shift.

- When noticing a smudge of oil on Loopo's lips, Pogg says that he "Missed a spot with the soap". Notably, in The World of Angry Birds Official Guide, the Minion Pigs consider bathing to be abnormal, with Professor Pig being the only pig to shower regularly.
- However, there have been multiple instances of King Pig taking bubble baths, such as in Angry Birds Toons or Angry Birds: Captain Badburger, so it's possible that bathing is only considered tabu in plebian pig culture.
