Kyle Eschen was a magician from Season 12 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Judge Cuts.
Background
Kyle Eschen has worked as a magician and comedian for ten years. He started performing at the age of 13, and has since performed in Las Vegas, at Hollywood's Magic Castle, and on the television shows "Penn and Teller: Fool Us" (a Season 3 episode, where he did not fool the pair), "Masters of Illusion", and "The World Magic Awards". He spent four of the last five years studying at Stanford University, and his coursework there on behavioral economics and neuroscience have had a large impact on the direction of his magic and writing. He currently performs around the Bay Area. [1]
Audition
Kyle Eschen's audition was never televised but it consisted of him using a book. It is unknown whether or not he was buzzed, but at least three judges voted "Yes", sending Kyle to the Judge Cuts round.
Judge Cuts
Kyle Eschen's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1208 consisted of having Howie Mandel pick a random card from a deck of numbered cards. Next, Kyle ripped the card into quarters. After Kyle handed one quarter to Heidi Klum, the quarters in Kyle's hand appeared to transform into a ripped page. Finally, Kyle revealed the three corners to be hidden in a book, on the page matching the number Howie picked earlier. Kyle's performance was not strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition along with Steven Scott.
