Dwayne Douglas "The Rock" Johnson (born: May 2, 1972) is an American-Canadian professional wrestler and actor known for his time in WWE.
Rock was highly influential in the 90s Attitude Era in the WWF, being regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. WWE SmackDown was named after his catchprase, "the Rock layeth the smackdown on your candy ass".
History
He joined YouTube on November 24, 2005, and uploaded his first video sometime in 2011, which most of his videos before 2015 were unlisted.[1]
Personal life
He was born on May 2, 1972, in Hayward, California. He is a member of the Anoa'i family, through his mother. His father, Rocky Johnson, was also a professional wrestler.
Trivia
- He hasn't ate any candy since 1989, and did not eat it again until The Tonight Show in June 2016.[2]
- He is the voice actor of many important characters in Disney movies.
- He played Maui in Moana and composed the song You're Welcome.
