Lauren Kobayashi Riihimaki (born: August 11, 1993 (1993-08-11) [age 31]), better known online as LaurDIY, is a Canadian YouTuber, vlogger, rapper, singer, and actress.

About

Lauren started her YouTube career on December 2, 2011. She started making videos about DIY hair and fashion tutorials. To this day, she still does DIYs, but also includes vlogs every Wednesday, songs, clothing hauls, challenges and more. The most popular video on her channel is her song "My Side" that features her ex-boyfriend Alex Wassabi with over 29 million views. Since 2019 she has been dating Jeremy Lewis.

LaurDIY has been nominated for the 2020 tenth annual Streamy Awards in the Fashion & Style category. The Streamy Awards will take place on December 13, 2020.

Personal life

Lauren was born in a St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada to Gail and Greg Riihimaki as an only child. She is part Ukrainian, Finnish, and Japanese. She grew up as a very athletic child and was in a lot of camps because her parents worked a lot. She graduated from Ryerson University, and released her first video during her first year of college.
