Daytona is a Linear Map featured in XDefiant. Daytona was first released in the Season 1 July 31st, 2024 update. The map is derived from the similarly named Daytona from The Crew 2.
Overview
Daytona is set in the city of Daytona Beach, Florida, which has been modified to function as a street racing track. The map progresses through several areas of the city, including the starting race gate, a skatepark, car shows, racing gear shops and racing paraphernalia.
Daytona had its own playlist known called the Daytona Playlist, where the only map featured was Daytona.
Development
Daytona was created by the Ubisoft Annecy and Ivory Tower teams. The map was explicitly designed with a constricted center lane in mind for Escort games. According to Ubisoft's Global Maps Producer Lesley Lacombe, Daytona was originally going to have cars driving in the background but was found to be too distracting.

Patch Notes
- On the Daytona map, players were able to shoot opponents through a wall not intended to allow bullet penetration. The offending wall is now appropriately bulletproof.
