Kind of, but we have better style.
This Article is an A! It has all the sections and images in place, making it complete. Only edit if you think it can be improved.

Ben is the melodramatic leader of a group of crime-fighting do-gooders known as the Patchamen. With a strong but naive moral mindset, he dubs himself as "The Justice Man" while also believing himself to be a mysterious antihero.

Appearance

He has fair skin, shoulder-length black hair, and gray eyes. He wears the same uniform as the other Patchamen, which consists of a blue one piece jumpsuit with its inner sides lined with a bright yellow, he wears a bug helmet, and a red cape.

Personality

The self-proclaimed "Justice Man", Ben is spews many heroic phrases and wits; depending on the person it will either impression them (e.g. Chatta) or not. He is melodramatic and makes flashy, showy movements whenever he speaks. Like the rest of his teammates, he has difficult understanding the basic concepts of heroism, is quick to become confused, and easily tricked.

He shows extreme dislike to those who take advantage of him and his team. Shown when he discovered they were merely pawns for Yoshinoya.

Series

Season 2

Techno ninja

He debuts in "Battle on Planet Eraklyon" after being hired by Yoshinoya to kidnap Princess Diaspro to prevent her "from being forced to marry Prince Sky." when she comes to, Ben and his team introduce themselves to her. Though, the introduction is brief as Ben excuses himself and the team to return to their "duties." This would be eavesdropping on the royal family, uncovering what they will do for Princess Diaspro's safety. Him and his team discover Sky and his friends are going to rescue her. They will need to stop them.

They tail them, quietly and efficiently. He ambushes them and uses martial arts to strike his opponent, Sky. He also shouts out attack names. He quickly deals with Sky by restraining him and takes the prince and his friends to Yoshinoya's prison. Afterwards, he and his team return to their base where he dramatically "eases" Diaspro's "worries" of the "Evil Prince Sky." Diaspro is unimpressed citing that her wealth will protect her. Her comment confusions him and when Jinpee says he will calm her down, Ben tells him to be nice about it. Just as Jinpee is about to put a device on Diaspro, she is replaced by Bloom who creates a powerful blast.

Ben and his team chase after her, re-encountering the group they had put in prison. As Ben is giving out orders to his team, Zing comes flying and throws a scroll at them. Ben catches it and reads it. He discovers that he was part of Yoshinoya's plan and tricked them into kidnapping Diaspro under the guise of heroism.

When daytime comes, Ben and his team are outside at Eraklyon's palace. They are all infuriated at being tricked but then somehow, Ben and his team start creating brash scenarios that make no sense. It gets to the point where he starts getting confused again. But when he overhears Bloom and Sky's conversation about Planet Earth being infested with bad people, he wastes no time in running off to protect it.

Skills

Like his teammates, he is proficient in espionage; able to move in the shadows and eavesdrop without detection. Ben uses martial arts in combat and with the addition to his agility, he can make quick and swift punches. This makes it difficult for his opponent to get an opening. He seems that he prioritizes physical combat over weapons but he not above using them.

He also names his martial moves, like the "Hurricane Patchaman," which is a series of air kicks with a few punches. This particular move also shows that Ben can stay suspended in the air for an extended amount of time.

Trivia

  • With the Patchamen being a direct reference to the anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman (at least in the Cinélume dub), Ben acts as a parody of the leader of the Gatchaman team, Ken the Eagle.
  • Despite having gone to Earth with the rest of the Patchamen, he and the rest of the team are never seen again.
  • The name Ben is a masculine Hebrew name meaning "son" or "Son of my right hand"[1], the latter is true for its English meaning[2].
    • In Latin, it comes from the word benedictus, which means "blessed".[2]
