Kokatsu is the biological father to Kawaki. He was an abusive father who constantly beat and mocked his son. He is an antagonist in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
Personality
Kokatsu was a hostile individual. He did not show any care, love, or appreciation for his son, Kawaki. He would consistently belittle and insult Kawaki, reminding him that he was meaningless. He was very harsh to his own son by beating him for not following the directions he gave him. Kokatsu was a drinker and liked to drink alcohol whenever he got the chance. He would task Kawaki to get him alcohol from a nearby village. When Jigen showed up to purchase Kawaki, Kokatsu put up no resistance to selling his own son since he deemed him to be worthless.
Biography
Kokatsu participated in the Fourth Great Ninja War as a combatant against the Akatsuki forces. Since the events of the war, Kokatsu became a disgruntled individual. He had a son named Kawaki. Kokatsu showed no love or appreciation for his son and would order him to do tasks and chores for him. He would also insult and beat Kawaki for not listening to him or for minor issues.
As a result of the beatings, Kawaki became very fearful of his own father and would try to get on his good side by following all of his directions. Kokatsu did not reciprocate Kawaki's feelings and would continue to mock, abuse and neglect him. One night, Jigen appears and negotiates a business deal where Jigen would buy Kawaki from Kokatsu. Kokatsu accepted the payment in exchange for his son and mocked Kawaki for being meaningless to him.
