Damudoxin

Damudoxin (ダムドキシン, Damudokishin) is a nanomachine substance that appears in Ultraman Blazar The Movie: Tokyo Kaiju Showdown.[1][2]

History

Pre-Ultraman Blazar

Damudoxin is a liquid-like nanomachine substance developed under the leadership of CEO Ichiro Mabuse of Necromass Co.. It is claimed to possess the property of achieving "cellular immortality".

During their research on Kaiju biological tissues, Necromass Co. discovered cell division and regeneration cycles completely distinct from those of Earth's life forms and incorporated them into the development of damudoxin. However, they also found that once the concentration of damudoxin exceeded a certain level, it would result in the uncontrollable absorption of surrounding organisms' genes, inorganic materials, and metals. Upon learning of this experimental conclusion, the GGFJ considered utilizing it as a weapon to counter Kaiju threats. Their plan involved injecting damudoxin into the Kaiju to disrupt their genes and destroy them from within. A prototype utilizing special bullets loaded with damudoxin was used during the operation against Bazanga in Ikebukuro in May 2023, one of which is also used by Gento Hiruma.[2] First Wave

Despite setbacks with the damudoxin technology, Mabuse continued researching its improvement using funds provided by the GGFJ. To mitigate its runaway risks, the company is developing a drug named "AD (anti-damudoxin (アンチダムドキシン, Anchi Damudokishin))" to suppress its activity.[3]

In 2024, the research project on damudoxin was still underway. However, when the Alien Damuno demanded Necromass Co. to cease all damudoxin development, he resorted to a hacking attack, hijacking the missile system at the GGFJ Fuji Base and directing them towards Necromass Co.'s research facility. This resulted in the destruction of the tanks storing damudoxin, causing the spilled substance to merge with Kaiju genetic samples in the laboratory, giving rise to Gongilgan.

During SKaRD's mission to combat Gongilgan, they utilized the anti-damudoxin to create special ammunition and anti-absorption plates as defense equipment.

Powers

  • Eternal Cells: Damudoxin possesses unique genes from Kaiju. Unlike normal biological cells, it grants cells the ability to resist aging. If this technology were to be applied in modern medicine, it could potentially enable ordinary organisms to achieve immortality.
  • Gene Fusion: If the capacity of damudoxin exceeds a certain level, it will not only integrate with the genes of nearby monsters but also fuse with inorganic substances and metals.
  • Gene Interference: Damudoxin has the property of interfering with biological genes, enabling the destruction of organisms from within.
