Albeo

Albeo (アルビオ, Arubio) was a birdlike alien and a senior disciple to Ultraman Regulos during their time as Cosmo Beast Fighters.^[3]^[4]

Conception

Etymology

As with most of the Cosmo Beast Fighters, Albeo's name is taken from the star named Albireo, one of the brightest star in the Cygnus constellation located at the beak of the swan, said star’s name is a result of mistranslation between Latin and Arabic, the name ended up being based on the word Ireo that refers to the plant Hedge Mustard (Sisymbrium officinale) which eventually resulted in it getting Arabicized into al-bireo.

Design

As with all Cosmo Beast Fighters, Albeo is designed by Shoma Muto.^[5]

History

Ultraman Regulos

During the Alien Magma's attack on Planet D60, Albeo and Pharood were killed by Volcan. His spirit formed an orb that went to Regulos, allowing him to use the abilities of the Leaping Spirit Crane Fist, which was used to defeat the Baraba that Volcan summoned. ^{Ultraman Regulos}

Leaping Spirit Crane Strike (飛翔精鶴拳, Hishō Seikaku-ken): Albeo's form of Cosmo Beast Style (コスモ幻獣拳, Kosumo Genjū-ken),^[3]^[4] which harbors the power of Cosmo Crane (コスモクレーン, Kosumo Kurēn).^[6]
- Air Manipulation: Through the fighting style, Albeo can exert the power of wind to his attacks.^[3]^[4]
- Enhanced Agility: Albeo can move gracefully in the air and slice his opponents.^[3]^[4]
