"Duel! Sunny vs. Tommyrod" is the 138th episode of the Toriko anime series.
Synopsis
Sunny puts his heroic hair to the ultimate test in a bombastic battle with Tommyrod and his grotesque army of deadly insects!
Plot
Toriko receives heavy damage from a technique of Starjun and realizes that the Full Course of his techniques did not work on him at all. Meanwhile, Sunny and Tommyrod begin their fight. Komatsu is having troubles against the insects while escaping, but Sunny saves him and orders him to escape and the young chef agrees and runs away along with Yun. The army of insects of Tommyrod charges forward Sunny but he manages to defeat them all using his Dinning Kitchen moves and Intuition. Sunny seems to be having the upperhand but his hair suffers damage from Tommyrod's strongest insect, the Giant Parasite. Tommyrod points that Sunny, having his hair cut, must be extremely painful for him having a higher sense of touch, something that makes Sunny recall a moment of his childhood when he broke a pot of Ichiryu, and how he teaches him an important lesson: that the most important things are all in the heart. Sunny realizes that the most painful of the situation is the memories of the people and chefs screaming and the laugh of the Bishokukai trying to abduct them. Sunny then unleashes his most powerful technique, the Satan Hair and kills the Giant Parasite in a matter of seconds, eating it all. Tommy shows Sunny respect and starts fighting seriously, killing his own insects in the process, as he considers them being on his way. As Tommyrod conceits on his power, Sunny cuts off the Sous Chef's left arm. The fight intensifies as Tommy dodges all of Sunny's strike attempts with his Satan Hair. The Heavenly King then cancels his powerful technique due to the stress of maintaining it, but this only gives an opening to Tommyrod who makes his severed arm grab Sunny's neck, leaving him vulnerable. Tommy takes this advantage and hits Sunny with several blows, finishing by impaling Sunny on his chest with his bare right hand. Tommy then realizes that he cannot move his body anymore and Sunny explains him that he is being controlled with Hair Marionette. Sunny then activates his Satan Hair again, preparing himself to the final stage of the fight.
