Gavin is a minor antagonistic character of The Owl House. He is a student at Glandus High under the Abomination track.
Appearance
Body
Gavin's skin is a shade of light brown. He has short and spiky dark purple hair, light purple-pink eyes, and a chin that tapers to the point. He has a mole near the left side of his mouth.
Clothing
Gavin wears the abomination track uniform from Glandus High, which consists of a short-sleeve gray-brown shirt with darker brown sleeve rims, a magenta scarf that is torn in some places, and magenta leggings. Rather than the standard boots, Gavin wears yellow and white shin-length sneakers as well as a white bracelet on his left wrist.
Personality
At first, Gavin is perceived as a courageous witch. However, due to the social structure of Glandus, he views power as a primary candidate to judge people. Gavin also has a strained relationship with his father, wanting him to notice him.
Background
Gavin is a student in Glandus High's abomination track, and is part of a group of students consisting of himself, Bria, Angmar, and Mattholomule. When he and his group first appear, they use their combined magics to stop a Slitherbeast from running over Braxas. Gus is impressed by their abilities and goes up to talk with them, and the three Glandus students introduce themselves. Mattholomule then shows up with a map to the Galdorstones, power-enhancing relics that can greatly boost a witch's magical power, and at the suggestion of Luz, Bria allows Gus to join the group on their journey to the Looking Glass Ruins.
The five set out and they others are impressed with Gus's supposed magic. He grips about his father along the way. After learning what the true purpose of the Ruins are, being a graveyard for illusionists, they trap Gus and the Keeper of the Looking Glass Graveyard and continue looting. After Mattholomule frees Gus and the Keeper, Gavin is lured away with an illusion of his father, really just Gavin with a mustache.
Gavin participates in the Gland Prix, winning the competition.
He is seen with Angmar watching the Coven Day Parade and is astonished when Emperor Belos declares the Day of Unity to be a month away.
Relationships
Unnamed father
Gavin mentions that he wishes his father would pay attention to his abilities to make abominations. Gus potrayed his father in order to trick him into abandoning Bria.
Bria
Bria is one of Gavin's friends from Glandus. She lead Gavin, Angmar, Gus, and Matt Tholomule into Forearm Forest, and then into the Looking Glass Graveyard.
Angmar
Angmar is one of Gavin's friends from Glandus High along with Bria. It isn't shown Gavin and Angmar have a friendship, but is implied.
Powers and Abilities
- Magic: Like all witches, Gavin's magic comes from a magic bile sac attached to his heart.
- Abomination magic: Gavin is shown to be able to summon abominations with ease.

Gavin is voiced by Nik Dodani. Dodani was announced as a guest star in the second season on May 17, 2021,[1] with his role as Gavin being announced on June 21, 2021.[2] Dodani makes his voice acting debut voicing Gavin.
