Why he could win Survivor: Mzi is practical and likes working with his hands. He's an excellent negotiator and loves joking around, which could make him very popular with his fellow contestants.
Why did you enter Survivor? 'Apart from it being a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you get one chance to get it right. It's the adventure of a lifetime, and there's a million bucks at the end of it!'
What role do you play in team environments? 'When there is no defined leader, I'm purpose-driven, and that moulds me towards leader or guiding role. I come through pretty strong.'
If you win, what would you do with a million Rand? 'I'll first sort out the tax people, then to my mother and two brothers, then to my bond. Whatever's left, I'll invest in a small business. I'll spoil myself with music ‧ I'll go out and buy a decent sound system, a beautifully crafted system. When the song starts, my problems will just melt away...'
You're on an island with nothing - what would be your first reward request? 'Fishing rod and tackle. Then we're sorted for meat ‧ everything else, we make a plan.'^[2]
