The Universe is the sum of all existing matter, space and time. It was created 13.7 billion years ago by The Big Bang. The Universe is home to hundreds of millions of galaxies, including the Local Group, a relatively small group of galaxies containing the Milky Way. Over 50 million years ago, the Ancients created the spaceship Destiny, partly with the goal, to explore the universe, and numerous other ships to seed Stargates on distant galaxies in the Universe.
