Gamma ray

Gamma rays are electromagnetic radiation of high frequency and therefore high energy. Gamma rays are Ionizing radiation and are thus biologically hazardous. When an alien plant found on P6J-908 began to grow uncontrollably, Dr. Bill Lee used gamma rays to eradicate it. (SG1: "Zero Hour")
