The Medieval planet was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy which was once under the control of Sokar and held a Stargate. It is the only planet besides Earth known to have Christian practitioners on it, possibly aside from the worlds settled by Merlin, traveled to by SG-1 on their search for the Sangraal. After SG-1 were successful in stopping both the Demon and the Goa'uld-possessed Canon, they advised the people on the planet to bury their Stargate which the people presumably did, permanently severing any contact from the rest of the galaxy. (SG1: "Demons")
Behind the scenes
The inhabitants are, in theory, Orthodox Christians, as the Great Schism and the Protestant Reformation had yet to occur when they were taken from Earth. However, the Prayer to St. Michael, used by the locals as they tested Teal'c for demonic possession, was composed in 1886 by Pope Leo XIII in response to the growing secularism of Europe. The possibility of Sokar's deceptions could explain the discrepancies between the superstitious culture of this world and the historical Catholic Church in the Middle Ages.
